WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is working to reclaim the initiative from critics of his health care initiative and boost momentum to push his chief domestic priority through Congress.
Obama kept up a steady weekend drumbeat of cheerleading for his health care plan in a campaign-style rally, on the radio and Internet, and on network television. He planned to continue the pace with more events designed to seize control of the health care debate following his address to Congress last week in which he urged Democrats and Republicans to come together.
"I will not accept the status quo. Not this time. Not now," the president told an estimated 15,000 people during a packed rally Saturday in Minneapolis.
Meanwhile, protesters gathered Saturday in Washington to vent their fury at Obama and his vision for health care reform in a demonstration that drew thousands.

First, let me say march was spectacular! America at its best.
Secondly, and I’m not being critical, just asking if anyone else feels like conservatives have fallen off the map in the last week over healthcare. Obama is out there spreading these lies, the msm is repeating them on the air morning and night, yet I don’t hear anyone loudly contradicting him like before.
The American people have short memories, we need to be exposing every lie, every socialist part of this bill, over and over again and not let down our guard. The temptation is to address the other parts of his socialist agenda, czars, etc. but healthcare is the big enchilada and they know it.
He has this big push because he’s going nuclear and doesn’t want to much dust kicked up once he does it. If we’re going to stop this, it has to be now.
Typical Al AP spin that totally ignores at least 1 million people in DC yesterday.
I went to C-Span late in the march after watching earlier. they had doofus in MN and he was nasty. I watched it for about 15 seconds before wanting to hurl and changing the channel.

That’s right buddy, it’s all about you and what YOU want. It’s almost embarrassing at this point listening to Obama use the same old worn out language over and over again.
And “YAHOO” has long been purged from my computer.
Once again, no one is saying “keep the status quo just as is”. More lies!
Obama was lost in the desolation of the prairie while his voice was silenced and overwhelmed on the Mall. There was one voice magnified by millions. For each present on the mall there were ten thousand unable to come.
He was gone, but his daughters confined in the White House could hear all the commotion. He now lives in fear of their questions. Will they come get us? Why did you leave us alone? I’m ‘fraid Daddy>
This is a simple case of president gone wild. He must spend at least 1/2 of every single day in front of a teleprompter and the other half getting his chompers whitened...while he asks his Czars “what do you want me to say next? Be sure to put it on the prompter because I have no idea of what I’m doing.”
He has got to be the most over exposed, shallow excuse for a leader - EVER. How dare he ignore and mock 1/2 of his citizens?
We are rallying, we are succeeding, we will find some TRUE Americans to elect who believe in the Constitution as strongly as we do.
Thank you to all who participated in the 9.12 project and the Tea Party March. I know we’ve only just begun. It’s time to start our boycotts of ALL MSM network TV shows and support those outlets who respect us.
It’s not enough to write Congress or the Senate - it’s time to speak with our $$.
Excuse me, but if I were objectively evaluating the current state of public opinion, I would be forced to observe that 2 million people on the mall protesting Obama policies is a strong indication that the American people have seized the ‘MOMENTUM’ from those that would destroy America!
This observation could easily be reinforced by noting the hundreds of corresponding local protest across this great nation.
One crazy, radical communist. Who would have believed a decade ago that such a narcissistic hater of Americans and America would be our president? And with a name like Barack Hussein Obama?

On March 30, 2009 the Texas House of Representatives passed HCR 50 affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.
You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.
We are asking you to take the lead.
We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.
We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.
Under your leadership we can effectively kill the proposal of this administration and allow Texas to be a state free from socialism and collectivism.

The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitution’s principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people.

Affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution, serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates, and providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed.
