Im still trying to get accurate estimates from good sources.

People on this string that attended are saying Hundreds of Thousands to 1 million+. So the estimates I’ve seen range greatly, but way more than ABC, Fox or CNN ridiculous non-estimate, and talking about how 2,000 protestors had shown up on July 4th. Really CNN? REALLY?

That’s me. See Post 99.
Trust me. I’ve been to dozens of these things over 30 years. This was a huge crowd, considering that a lot of other things are going on in Washington, compared to an Inauguration, when it’s the only thing going on and it’s a holiday. This crowd ended about Fourth St. The Mall goes to 24th St. On the 4th of July the fireworks fills up most of the Mall with 500,000 to 700,000 people, spaced out somewhat with chairs and blankets.
There were a lot of other Tea Party visitors in town who gave up because they were too far to hear anything, and just went sightseeing after the parade part. But at any one time the visual crowd was about 200,000, plus some more spread out N and S of the lawn because of other prmits west of Fourth St.
