instead of texting a phone number you put the 67292 in and then for the body of the text you type 912. then hit send.

Go to your text messaging utility. Hit new. Type 67292 in the ‘address’ or ‘to’ space. In the text area, type ‘912’.

Hit ‘send’.

Folks, I think this is a great idea. It multiplies the number of people on the mall, if we all send this text message. We may not be there physically, but we’re certainly there in spirit.

I can do it, but was the purpose of this mentioned?

Yes, it documents how many people were on the mall today. The media can’t fudge the numbers if people send that text.

Of course we’re sending texts too, but I’m reasonably certain they can break out who was on the mall and who wasn’t, but wish they were.

I just did it, but today, while driving back from another county to our home, we passed several groups of 9/12 protestors (some groups as large as 100 or so). They were lining the main highway, and had lots of signs and flags. At one corner there was a counter protest. 150 9/12ers on one side, 3 stop the war, one payer system, etc. on the other. It was laughable.

I would have liked to go but finances and having a daughter in high school wouldn’t allow it...this time.

Sorry, but not everyone has a cell phone.

By the way, that 67292 looks like a Wichita, Ks ZIP CODE! LOL

I wasn’t able to go either this time, but my heart is certainly with those who can and did.

There are ways of doing your part even if you couldn’t go this time. Just do what you can. Thank you.

We’re together on this!

Heh heh heh, then by all means don’t participate. LOL

I know you’re just kidding. It does look like a zip code doesn’t it.

As for no cell phone, you probably don’t need one out there.

Here in LA folks are dropping the land line, and only using cell phones.

We haven’t had a land line for the past four years — and I’m rural (thank you, Alltel!).

I got a reply back from the text:

“NTU Team Taxpayer: Thanks for joining the fight. We need YOUR help on Team Taxpayer to fight big govt! Txt help for help. Txt STOP to quit. Std msg rates apply.”

I sent the text about 15 minutes ago and got a reply:

“Premium Messaging to this mobile number has been blocked. Only the account owner may request a change to this setting with his/her wireless service provider”

What’s up with that?
