I am waiting for an unemployment extension. I was supposed to get a check a week ago, but I have to wait until NEXT week for a phone hearing on my extension. Who knows when I am getting paid. Hubby is laid off too, but cannot collect unemployment. So I have a whopping 78 cents in the check book. I have to go write a bad check just for food, and pray I get some money before the electric gets shut off. And you want to pick on me because I did not go to DC!!! How wrong to post that.
Let it go, people. Stay focused on the goodness of this.
I couldn’t make it either (sigh!) Hey, “we also serve, who only stand (sit) and freep!”
I agree with you. Not everybody who wants to be there can be there. I’m recovering from surgery and in my own circle of friends, one couldn’t get a sitter, another couldn’t get time off from work, and another couple just aren’t physically able to go b/c it’s a pain to travel and march with a walker and some just cannot financially afford to be there. Being there in spirit counts, too.
FWIW, I too have no conceivable way to get there.
Most likely most of us realize there are people such as ourselves and others who cannot.
That is only reasonable if you know what dire situations some people are in, as well as who is depending on them that they can’t leave.
Hang in there Jersey! Just like our military men and women stand on that wall for ALL Americans, especially those who can’t, so too do our patriotic FRiends march on Washington on our behalf. I could not attend due to starting a new job last month (praise God!) however, I will attend our local rally from 4-7 pm here in town proudly, in the pouring rain so it seem it will be, and stand where I can, in the gap for FREEDOM!! God be with you and know that we are ALL with you in your struggle! Put a sign in your yard, attend a local rally if possible, but most importantly, pray hard for the safety and success of the patriot march and for the confusion and confounding of our enemies. We are all brothers and sisters here, a sibling tiff will happen here and there, but in the end, we are ALL in this together!! xoxo (a former jersey girl :)
We each do what we can. Thank you for all you have done in the past and what you will again do when you are able. Thank God there are many who are able to be there, and who will gladly speak for those of us who are strapped at present. Without sniping at us.
((((((Hugs))))))) Food Banks and churches have pantries.I talked to an electric guy and they are shutting off 900 a day.If you are close I’ll run some food over just freepmail me.
I’m in the same boat - nearly in tears because my wife and I just can’t make it. Couldn’t afford the $90 bus fare from Pittsburgh.
Yet Obama took $1,200 from us in our taxes last April because we had to withdraw funds prematurely from our IRA. And he gave $11 MILLION to Microsoft so they could build a bridge over their highway.
