This is satire isn’t it? I mean, this guy isn’t serious is he? Damn, he almost sounds like George McGovern.

Those of us over 65 have been enjoying this program for years. I go to the doctor or hospital of my choice, and my taxes pay all the bills. It's wonderful.

No, they don't and the taxes the typical senior citizen pays don't even come close to paying for their care. It is MY taxes that are furnishing you with all your "free" health care.

Last night, believe it or not, during a dream, I was having an argument with some liberals on Obama’s health plan. (I know, that’s a weird thing to dream about, but it’s true.)

And, in my dream one of the arguments I made against it, which I am surprised that nobody has made already, is that in order to make it work, everyone who enrolls would have to be identified and issued some form of numbered card, which would turn out to be a national de-facto identification card, just as social security numbers became in the past.

This would result in a nation-wide database on virtually everyone.

Now, both liberals and conservatives, for different reasons, have opposed a national identification card scheme for decades. Yet, nobody seems to be concerned that they will be slipping one into place by stealth if Obamacare passes.

OK, some one tell me I’m wrong and why, and I’ll go back to dreaming of naked women.

One of the liberal gals in the dream was kinda hot, though.

Obamacare is deficit neutral, completely paid for by rooting out that "waste and fraud" that we magically found yesterday. Only with health reform can we get to that waste and fraud, sort of like it's a map to the Sierra Madre.

Anyone want to be that a lot of this fraud is people illegally getting treated for a real medical problem that they can't afford or isn't covered? So what happens when national health care comes? You guessed it: This "fraud" becomes a real, covered expense. So much for the cost savings.

Right now Medicare is paying providers and hospitals at the rate of about twenty cents on the dollar of actual cost for service. The only way most doctors can see Medicare patients is as a charity, with the fees of other, non-Medicare patients compensating for the loss. The idea that the whole nation might be using Medicare is like imagining a Soviet healthcare plan, with Russian sixties-style quality of care.

Is he talking about the mediicare program that, according to our own president, loses 500 billion in waste and fraud? THAT Medicare?

Its simple:

It's Simple-Minded: Medicare for All

There.
Fixed it.

Sure, I paid the Medicare tax from its inception to the present and now every parasite from coast to coast is entitled to the benefits?

Good luck with that.
Keep with the trillions$ in additional taxes. At least we can see where the enemy is...

Certainly a simple solution. Of course, Medicare is already broke and collapsing under the cost and such an extension would make its financial collapse bigger and more rapid.

So the whole suggestion is nonsense. If it ever happened, the death panels for the elderly would be even more stringent.

Poverty is because they never print enough money for the poor, just for the rich.

What part of fewer Doctors; fewer services; fewer hospitals; fewer pharmaceuticals. . .and so what part of rationing and waiting; and 'end of line' MO. . .don't these people get?

Oh yes; happy with Medicare. . .because 'private' still rules; without it; we are doomed. You think there is a shortage of Doctors now? There are many soon to be Doctors; working the 'hospital wings' who are watching; and who are ready to bolt; should Government option, rule the day. No Doctors. . .fewer health care outlets/facilities; there IS a domino effect.

Would say; someone needs to inform Obama; but then, we know; healthCARE has NEVER been the issue! So, why bother. Meantime; just celebrate Joe Wilson's call out in Congress a few days ago. . .for it's truth.
