What was the deal on the Democrat that inercepted and recorded the Boehner to Gingrich phone conversation years ago, then turned it over to mcDermott? I thought this would come up, but clearly every TV/ radio reporter has the same obligation then. It sounds like a desperate attempt to cover for political allies.

Yes, we need to publish every last little exception to this everywhere! Nothing happened to Baghdad Jim, by the way..

Nothing happened to Baghdad Jim, by the way.

Fortunately you are wrong, sometimes good DOES triumph! The current GOP House Leader, Jim Boehner (OH), who was the person Speaker Newt Gingrich was talking to, sued Rep, James McDermott and won through the Appeals Court.

On March 31, 2008, Chief Judge Thomas Hogan of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia ordered McDermott to pay $1.05 million to Boehner, covering attorney's fees, costs and interest. McDermott also has had to pay over $60,000 in fines and close to $600,000 to his own lawyers. McDermott said he would not appeal further.

Nothing is said about how Baghdad Jim is paying but it is a court judgement.
