Baltimore, MD September 11, 2009 We have received inquiries from citizens and the media asking whether the Baltimore City States Attorneys Office would initiate a criminal investigation for acts allegedly committed at ACORN offices located in Baltimore. The only information received in reference to this alleged criminal behavior was a YouTube video. Upon review by this office, the video appears to be incomplete. In addition, the audio portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402, which requires two party consent.
If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to 5 years.

Just off the top of my head, and not being exactly sure of which of ACORN’s many divisions/entities the Baltimore office is part of, and this office’s precise receipt of direct government funds, the filmmakers claiming that they were preparing the films as part of a “Qui Tam” claim they wanted to pursue with the Feds against ACORN may be able to provide some cover.
You weren’t really using those rights anyway, were you? :)
I have the utmost respect for my elders.
I was just a little disappointed that there weren't more 20-40 somethings there.
It sort of reminded me of my church. My church just recently went to a two service system where one service is a traditional service, and the other is a contemporary service with a band instead of a choir. The people at the tea party reminded me of the people I see at the traditional service.
Patricia Jesamy is a racist, worthless State’s Attorney.
She is a moron.
A voice is a voice.
Oh, sure, they’ll bore you about their latest medical procedure, but they have money, time, wisdom, and many of them have shot a weapon and don’t mind killin’ people who need killin’.
Oh yes when FoxNews gets ahold of this they will shame them badly and the blowback will be more than this iddiot can stand.
Yes. She had to spend thousands on defense attorneys.
But that was then—this is now.
After the huge Patriot Rally in DC tomorrow, the MD. Attorney General won’t dare to prosecute.
Does he/she wantto be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail?
The Communist Acorn Thug in that pic looks like our .... president. Shocking.
Apparently, The people of Maryland need more Brothels with 15 year old girls.
I wonder, would Acorn Object to 10 year old girls working for a pimp? Whats their cut off age for talent in Maryland?
YOU GO FOR IT AIT!!!
I’m beginning to think Acorn is just a big money laundering operation for the DNC.
Please tell me more, or give me a good reference, about this AG project.
Did you hear what O’Keefe said tonight on Hannity? He wondered where all the money ACORN gets is going because the offices they visited were very poor looking.
I particularly loved the name Hannah chose for herself: Kenya
Ahhh, the “Pentagon Papers” approach!
Splendid!
CA....
Don Hewitt (who just passed away) built “60 Minutes” out of this kind of story. The left practially hailed him as a saint.
These people are clearly members of the Press and any attempt to prosecute them should be thrown out on constitutional grounds... in my non-legal opinion (of course the law is no longer common sense).
The flip-side is that with two offices and possibly more advocating illegal activities, can’t some aspiring US Attorney pull together a RICO case (of course he should be aspiring to a private sector job as he will undoubtedly be fired within 48 hours).
These laws were passed in states that wanted to shield politicians from being taped making crooked deals. If you consent to talk to someone, you should be deemed to have consented to their repeating it, in the absence of a confidential relationship.
Exactly. The state police can’t use wiretaps in those states; of course, such state laws can’t affect federal law enforcement officers, which is one of the reasons why the feds are responsible for most corruption prosecutions in those states.
