Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) should not have exclaimed "You lie!" in the middle of Barack Obama's speech on health care. ...However, although Rep. Wilson should not have said what he said when he said it, it needed to be said. The President of the United States told a blatant half-truth during his speech when he said people would be free to keep their existing health insurance, while he refused to take responsibility for his contribution to the perception that his health care plan includes the creation of "death panels" that would ration or terminate medical treatment for senior citizens and other forms of Lebensunwertes Leben (life unworthy of living).
You told a half-truth, Barry. Let us repeat this: you told a half-truth. This is what the President told the Congress and the nation Wednesday night. It is true that, under House Bill 3200, you can keep your existing insurance plan under a grandfather clause. You can't, however, change it to a plan that does not include government-mandated features you might not want or need. Barack Obama has repeatedly omitted this inconvenient little fact from his public statements, thus making him a proven teller of half-truths, and therefore for all practical purposes a blatant liar, just as Rep. Wilson said.

No one should get a pass when they lie. That is part of what is wrong with this country. Our politicians look us right in the eye, and tell a blatant lie, and if we call them on it, they feel insulted. Obama insulted all of us with his out and out lie, and deserved what he got...and more.

However, Section 202 suggests a different story. 246 states, "Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.".
Section 202 speaks to "exchange eligible individuals". 246 states no federal funding for affordability credits for undocumented aliens, while 202 has no language referring to undocumented aliens.
Section 202 does state, "all individuals are eligible to obtain coverage through enrollment in an Exchange-participating health benefits plan offered through the Health Insurance change unless such individuals are enrolled in another qualified health benefits plan or other acceptable coverage." So, who was lying here? Lawyers wrote HR3200. Lawyers in D.C. are known for their ambiguity when writing these bills. Obozo and Olberfurher think the American people are ingnoramouses and unable to do research for themselves. To use Olberfurher's own words, they are **wrong**.
