I don’t take snopes as gospel. I think they have a pretty strong liberal bias. Could just be me.

And, according to several news sources out there, there are rumors he’s being investigated for what could be pay-to-play scandal involving the closing of Chrysler and GM dealerships.”

Out here in Californicator land we have seen a few 0b0z0 voters and were surprised at first.
Looking back at the people who crossed over to vote 0b0z0 there were a few common links.
1. Rich white guilt. These are the people who go to an expensive Lobster feed to raise money for the poor. Bid a thousand $’s for a bottle of wine at a charity wine auction, because they and their family have used illegals as servants for decades.
2. New Greenies hoping to cash in on the Greenmovement Tidal Wave bought in by Obozo. We have a younger relative and his wife who fit into that category. The wife has basically been written off by her parents and siblings. He is having a hard time at family functions. She was invited to her folks for any holiday since the election.
3. Religious White quilt. People like your uncle and aunt.
4. Independents tired of Republicans, who thought Ob0z0 was great. They have been the first to fall out of the Ob0z0 cult (all age groups).
5. Closet abortion lovers. Sarah Palin made these A$$holes expose themselves.
6. Those, who suffered from Bush hatred syndrome or BDS.
7. Those, who got hypnotized by 0b0z0 and really looked forward to his “Change”.
8. The over 65 group, who wanted a free lunch, more social security payments and better Medicare. Some of these people were independents, and now they are scared what might happen to them.
Yeah, I knew it looked like an article that was written before. I just did not have time to check the facts with the other objects I was juggling at the time.
And since I am somewhat of a WJR-Detroit/JP McCarthy/Frank Beckman person - I am very interested in this.
Grew up listening to the Great Voice of the Great Lakes. Car biz soaks in.

There were a couple of things that threw up red flags for me.
First, the ownership percentages looked wrong. Though combining the UAW with the US Government does get you over the 50% mark (actually the UAW owns over 50%). When I read it before, I was in a big hurry, and it appeared to me to suggest that the government alone had a controlling interest. I knew that was absolutely wrong.
The second thing that didn’t pass the smell test was the entire concept that car dealers contributed to the Obama campaign. I was in the car business through September of 2008 (as a parts department manager). I know several dealers personally, and know of several dozen more through various industry connections. I don't know (or even know of) a single dealer who would have donated to Barrack Obama’s campaign. That part just sounded entirely wrong. In my experience, if only Obama contributors were allowed to keep their Chrysler dealership franchises, there would be fewer than a dozen Chrysler dealerships in the entire country today.
I was in the auto dealership business, ultimately as a department manager in fixed operations (I was never involved directly in selling cars, but rather in parts and service). The only part of that ratio that looks off by a little bit would be the Obama side. I think the Obama support looks overstated, perhaps by one donor.

The Republicans are hamstrung for now. But when they return to owning the Congress or Senate, do you really think they will investigate this? No. Because they are spineless wimps.
Real men would investigate and jail whoever is involved in this intentional corruption.

I know a couple who have CNN on all day... they were ignorant before CNN.
If they watch CNN all day, they are now dangerous and ignorant.
These are/were people, who claimed not to be liberal until they became 0b0z0bots.
I’m 70, and my trophy bride will be 70 soon. I have posted in the past about people we knew for decades, who apparently were closet democrats coming out of that closet after retirement. We could never figure that out.
The funniest change deals with one of these “senior” couples. The guy in the last 4-5 years post retirement has become a screaming liberal, and his formerly screaming liberal wife has become an independent and makes fun of 0b0z0, his thugs, Pelosi and Reid and her now liberal husband.
Sad and scary revelations last year with women in their 20-50’s came out when Sarah Palin became our Veep candidate.
Many of these women married to fairly conservative guys would go unhinged, when we talked positively about Sarah. I discussed this on a couple of the Sarah threads last year.
One of our female freepers suggested the women had abortions, had daughters who had abortions or just had girls. She was right on all of the female hate Sarahs we knew out here. One couple in the late 30’s are having a lot of problems with this. He has his own business and is being killed by the 0b0z0 economy and potential taxes and health plan cost increases. He is very outspoken about white guilt + pro abortion pseudo conservatives voting for 0b0z0, and his wife still hates Sarah.
The last situation reminds us of a woman, we knew who had two bumper stickers on her Lexus years ago. One said “Impeach Clinton!”, and the other sticker “Vote Boxer, pro Choice!”
Maybe it is just a Californai thing.
