I am afraid I don't have an appropriate lolcat graphic for a "penis shooting ping."

Blew his brains out. Tragic.

That mexican-carry in the waistband thing endangers the huevos (or huevo depending on the caliber).

"I might as well ask. What pistol do you routinely carry and compete?"

Please let me know if you ever get an answer to this question... I always find it funny when someone disparages a certain brand but will not reveal their own preference.

I've carried a Glock of one caliber or another for over 17 years now and have experienced no problems. I can't count the number of agencies with which I've worked (on the ranch as an outside instructor) that issue Glocks, and I've not had anyone come up to me and complain about their issue weapon.

I'm not saying that the Glock is the "end-all, be-all" weapon to issue as a sidearm. But I can tell you that if the operator has his head on straight and follows the discipline of "finger off trigger until on target" there is no reason that a problem would exist. But that is true with any firearm, isn't it? Is a Glock as good as a Sig? I don't know - is a framing hammer as good as a finishing hammer? But for either scenario: They both do their jobs, it is just that they are designed differently and perhaps meant for use in different operational situations. The Glock follows the K.I.S.S. principal, and therefore requires more "get it right, dammit" training, whereas the Sig follows the "we prefer to protect ourselves better in court" frame of mind.

I carry my Glocks on a regular basis, but if I felt I needed match accuracy I would carry my custom Colt 1911. Everything is an offset, firepower and capacity, versus accuracy and lack of capacity. Since I have no trouble at 25 yards with CNS shots using my Glocks, I usually carry one of them.

I do find it interesting that he uses the term ND but seems to leave out the fact that the N stands for "negligible". Since the weapon is an inanimate object, the problem would be (as we say on the range) "the loose nut behind the pistol grip."

Regards,
Raven6

It's possible that it was. When asked "Have you ever shot a Johnson?", he replied "Yes [groan]"

M1911a1 colt. Its proven. You can dunk it in a mud puddle and it still shoots. Its the AK47 of handguns. Glocks just suck, plain and simple, and people who dont accept that fact are idiots, or no nothing about firearms.

Thank you.

I was about to ask if the Mangled Genitals Ping List had been activated. Glad to see someone is staying ahead of the story. :-)

"Glocks just suck, plain and simple, and people who dont accept that fact are idiots, or no nothing about firearms."

You know... You are entitled to your opinion. Just like everyone else on this forum... But when you want to call your opinion the facts, you just reveal yourself to be acting childishly. Especially when you decide to call anyone that disagrees with your opinion an "idiot."

If you want to have a debate about Glocks, then do so based upon facts. So far you've used descriptors such as "just suck" and "idiot."

Between 70-83% of U.S. law enforcement agencies use Glocks... All of the weapons a department issues are selected based upon reliability trials and ease of operation. The folks that make recommendations as to what weapon is to be selected by the department are most often the firearms instructors of that agency. If you think that you know (and by the way, the correct spelling is k-n-o-w instead of n-o, check your post) more than all of the instructors of these agencies then you are really something. It must get tiresome lugging around that big ego of yours.

Did you ever carry a Glock or a 1911 in combat or on patrol duty? What is the basis for your analysis? It's easy to say "It's (the 1911) proven." So provide the proof that a 1911 is better than a Glock under all circumstances. You see, I've seen 1911's on the range and in combat that would suffer from "failure to feeds", "failure to ejects", and "stovepipe jams". I've seen it happen with $3,500 race gun 1911s, and with old, rattling, "just bought it at the pawn shop for $300" 1911s. The "Tap, Rack, Ready" drill was invented on the 1911 long before the Glock ever existed. In fact, I've seen just about every modern day pistol jam at some point on the range or in combat." Some more than others - but all of them jam sooner or later. I'm not saying the 1911 is not a good handgun - in fact I own a couple of them. But your calling the 1911 the AK47 of handguns and using the mud puddle claim reveals just exactly how much you know about 1911's. Is the 1911 a reliable handgun? Yes, absolutely, when properly maintained... But no, you can't fill it full of mud from a mud puddle and have it continue to function flawlessly. Our local sheriff's department demonstrates the Glock's reliability by running over it several times with a patrol car and then picking it up and sending a full magazine down range with it. Does that mean that no other pistol can do that? No, but then there are some with external controls that might not be able to... I think you have read too many biased reports, because real life operations reveal another story.

If you want to debate the "Negligent Discharges" of 1911 versus Glocks, then we would have to know how many sloppy operators are using 1911s versus Glocks. No gun fires itself... Sloppy operation or failure to properly secure the weapon are the causes of "ADs", "NDs" or "UD's" - whatever you want to call them. Sloppy operation does not equate to a poorly engineered or manufactured firearm.

And as far as people that don't accept that Glocks suck KNOWING nothing about firearms, I find that interesting... Especially since I have acted as an instructor for the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association's Annual Training Conference on numerous occasions. And then there is the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Association's Annual Training Conferences - I've taught there on several occasions as well. I guess someone forgot to tell these international associations that people that like Glocks don't know anything about firearms.

I will not waste anymore time on you unless you care to back up what you say with facts rather than opinion.
