Restaurants should take the old smoking sections sound proof them and seat anyone with kids under 12 in them. Standing by for the flaming

No flaming. I’ve been to a couple of restaurants that have done that. Kid section and non-kid section.

You’ll get no flaming from me! I love kids, (well-behaved and well-mannered kids)it’s usually the “proud” coddling parents that I can’t stand...

Not just a separate SOUNDPROOF room, but a separate entrance and exit as well.
Parents used to care about how badly their children were behaving and took measures to correct their misconduct, now I see them just ignore them as they run wild-running, screaming, and generally making nuisances of themselves.
Whatever happened to "Sit Down and Shut Up!" followed by "Behave yourself or you'll get a spanking?"
I think it has to do with the selfishness of their parents. They simply don't care about inconveniencing other diners...after all...they "have their rights!"

I eat out ALOT and never could quite understand why some parents feel free to let their kids run around the dining room or crawl on the chairs, to say nothing of the screaming. The "let your kids do what thou wilt" thingy seems to be bigger on the west coast, as I would have this problem all the time with the little brats.
Of course, in my neck of the woods, I have to put up with the "militant mommies" shoving their strollers past me as I try to have a nice brunch or dinner with my GF.
In short, I agree, we need "family only" dining rooms for the kiddies. There is a reason we had the "kid's table" at Christmas time in my family.
