Shimkus walked on Obama: 'Frustrated'

Rep. Joe Wilson, the South Carolina Republican who yelled at President Barack Obama during his address to Congress this week, wasn't the only one unhappy with what he heard.

Rep. John Shimkus, a Republican from Illinois, walked out.

"Congressman Shimkus was frustrated that the president was not offering any new ground and left with just minutes remaining in the speech,'' spokesman Steven Tomaszewski said today in response to our question about the late-speech walk-out.

" If only dozens of others had walked out too. "

That is what I was hoping too.... so would Pelosi punish all of them ?

There is no civility in the way the communist want to destroy this country.

Walking out of a public event is a good way to go. It does not go without notice.

Dozen or so walking out at same time would have been better... saluting with “the BIRD” as they walked up the aisle would have been even BETTER!!!

I was wondering why someone didn’t walk out. I’m glad to hear Simkus did!

If we had a GOP the entire caucus would have walked out. I will only support individual representatives who show a willingness to fight.

I'm glad he walked out, it was a civil way to protest.

I wish every conservative there had walked out.......we are past the time of go a long to get a long bipartisanship, the Republic is in the balance

If they try to ram this through, the entire GOP delegation had better walk out. This kind of parliamentary strong-arming requires a full-blown parliamentary rebellion in response.

If they just stood up, turned around, and faced the other way the entire speech, it would be an ongoing spectacle with more camera time.

If they did this or all walked out it it is the RIGHT thing to do and I support it as I have had enough of both parties...

But it would give political ammunition to enable 0bama to pass the bill illegally. Thehill is already reporting Joe Wilson ‘was a gift’ to the WH.

Im sick to death of all of the BS.

John Shimkus is a good Missouri-Synod Lutheran ex-schoolteacher & veteran who no doubt has many bones to pick with the chameleon [shameleon] President.

Good for him! I wish Wilson had done that rather than give the Dems ammo.
