Birth-certificate seller surfaces as witness
WorldNetDaily ^ | SEPTEMBER 10, 2009 | Jerome R. Corsi

Lucas Smith, the eBay seller who claims he has an authentic copy of Barack Obama's birth certificate issued in Kenya, flew in from the Dominican Republic to show up Tuesday in U.S. District Judge David Carter's courtroom in Santa Ana, Calif., to testify as a witness in a case challenging the president's eligibility.

Despite evidence that the Kenyan birth certificate touted by Smith may be a forgery, Taitz has decided to advance the document as part of her case to establish that Obama fails to meet the "natural born citizen" requirement specified in Section 1, Article Two of the U.S. Constitution as a qualification to serve as president of the United States.

At the hearing Tuesday, Judge Carter ruled Smith would have to testify at a later date in the proceedings, despite the protestations of plaintiffs' attorney Orly Taitz that Smith's life was in jeopardy.

The docs could have been planted at the hospital by some agency or Kenyan Govt under O’s orders as his counsin is the PM.

Smith could have gone to Kenya and went to the hospital but got the doc somewhere else. He is really sticking his neck out signing and affidavit to a Federal Court if it is BS. I would guess Orly and the people with her asked him a lot of questions.

Orly spent some time recently in Israel too. Israel has a lot of connections in coastal Kenya. Remember the hotel in Kenya blown up by Islamists that was an Israeli tourist hotel. I think the Russians probably realize a destroyed USA is not in their best interest but after how we helped the muhajadeen - I would guess they are enjoying this.

I would guess everybody has the proof. The British, Russians, Israelis, maybe the French and USA.

Obama may have been an experiment that may not be working out like someone expected. I also think a lot of wealthy people may have pooled their money to get the evidence and do detailed legal research because they know he will destroy America.

This is a very interesting theory.

What “evidence” that he was born in Hawaii? There is no evidence except the statement by the Dr. Fukino or whatever her name is in Hawaii who is a state employee and cannot be trusted.

We do not know where Obama was born but we have a BC that shows he was born in Kenya. It looks far more real that the phony COLB Obama tried to pawn off.

"Or he is an O-shill who has a free pass. I doubt the latter because any scam could backfire as Judge Carter and the court could get the HI long form BC and it would show O was not born in the USA.

...or, an Obama supporter,well-heeled but a true believer is trying to play games.....which could backfire.

Disclaimer: I'm not a "birther" but these threads are too much fun to stay away from.

Mark my words. Taitz will get nowhere with the bogus Kenyan birth certificate that known con man Lucas Smith is peddling.

Orly and her supporters want so badly for this to be the genuine article that they're willing to ignore every flashing red light and screeching klaxon that points to this thing being fake and Smith being just another two-bit scam artist with a lengthy criminal record involving fraudulent activities.

Step back and look at this rationally. Smith just heads over to Kenya, waltzes into a hospital and bribes himself Obama's birth certificate? Well, hell's bells! Why didn't Hillary think of that?

" If Smith is lying, his persecution of President Obama is a national news story. "

You would think the MSM would be all over it if Smith is lying right ? ... wonder why they are treading lightly on eggs on this ?

I would donate $500 to Orly today if she agreed to call me and explain the best evidence rule.

It's also apparent from his videos that he was doing something in Africa last month, and probably Kenya as there are kenyan flags visible in some of his clips.

It really could be anything...trying to buy a "real" certificate, trying to get one forged, who knows. The guy is definitely shady. But he's also produced something that merits an honest inquiry from the courts, and frankly his dubiously obtained "birth certificate" is of no less provenance than the thing Obama has been peddling as authentic for months.

Do you realize how difficult it would be to forge the BC Mr. SMITH has....seal, signatures, ink stamp...?

The details on it do make it relatively easy to authenticate. One area that needs to be explored is the doctor - James Ang'awa. There are several records online proving that he was practicing medicine in Mombasa in 1961. But evidence of his handwriting for comparison with the signature could probably be found from his stint as the team doctor for Kenya in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.

Stranger things have happened. A $10 bill in that part of the world will make a speeding ticket go away, and a $50 will take care of a lot worse.

Considering that the average annual per capital income in Kenya is only $1200 it's not at all implausible that slipping a comparable amount into a corrupt hospital worker's hands could buy access to any and every document they have.

Very true. And slipping a corrupt Kenyan hospital worker a little money, and he'll go into a back room and type up whatever you ask him to on official hospital stationary and give it a nice stamp to boot!

Want an official Kenyan BC that says "Barack Obama"? No problem! It'll just cost you some money. Heck, I could probably get one that says "Drew68" on it. Wouldn't be hard at all.

Equally possible. But that's why an effort should be made to authenticate this alleged certificate before dismissing it out of hand based on fallacious claims and supposition.

Good luck with that. Apparently, Orly only submitted a copy to the court because Smith is unwilling to release the "original" without financial compensation.

I can't believe otherwise intelligent people are buying into this.

Where did you get that bit of information from?

And if he bribed somebody to get a copy as he claims, would it not be expected that he probably wants compensation?

I'm not saying it's authentic. I'm simply saying that the current arguments against its authenticity are either (a) fallacious crap based upon factually inaccurate claims about its content (e.g. the Zanzibar/Mombasa thing), or (b) unverified supposition and speculation. At the same time, the arguments for its authenticity are unvetted.

There's no reason not to attempt to vet them though and find out one way or the other.

It's all over the place. Read the article. So far, Smith won't even provide a legible copy to WND for verification.

Why do you suppose that is? I'm guessing because WND has the means and resources to contact Kenyan officials for verification a Smith knows damn well they'll deny this BC.

C'mon, even Wing Nut Daily is raising the B.S. flag on this guy!
