In May of 2001, I took my son to the Battery in NYC showing the sights. He saw the WTC once just before it was gone.
At home, 6000 miles away and a few months later , it took time to sink into his teenaged mind what happened but he got it quickly, quicker than most here.

It had to have really affected him, who had just seen how
massive those buildings were and that they fell like
matchsticks. It’s always eerie to watch movies that show
them still standing.
