I know it looks simple, but it would solve the problem.....the problem we cannot seem to solve, is electing people that will do these things...

A real good solution would be for the Fed to print enough money to buy all the Power-Ball Lottery tickets for a 100% chance to win. That makes more sense than Obamanomics.

Never forget that the purpose of government is not to solve problems.

The purpose of government is to increase the power of government.

King Obama and his communists party would never go for it. It would challenge their enslaving Americans.

You mistakenly assume politicians WANT to fix the economy.

If everything was OK, what would motivate the sheeple to embrace "change"?

I like number 1. My own preferred solution has a certain elegant simplicity, though. Do nothing.

It would suffice. Everything actually needed, the Fed and Bush admininstration already did.

Longer term, I'd love a 20% flat tax and all Federal entitlements gradually privatized and means tested out of existence. But I'll settle for just not raising any taxes and letting debt do the rest.

It would, you know. A government that is too profligate cannot remain populist in its economic impact. Past profligacy undoes taxation in one direction by interest payments in the other, net result zero.

3. Drop the capital gaines tax to 5% for 2 years

I would drop the tax on interest earned and dividends to match capital gains.
