ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Former New Mexico Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil-Giron and three codefendants were arraigned in district court Friday on charges of money laundering and embezzlement.
Vigil-Giron was not in court, but her attorney Robert Gorence was. He took steps Friday to get the case thrown out of court.
The efforts to get the case dismissed are joined by codefendant Armando Gutierrez. Gutierrez is the media consultant who produced television advertisements featuring Vigil-Giron as part of the voter education program.
Gutierrez, Vigil-Giron and two others are accused of diverting federal dollars from that program to their own bank accounts and then trying to cover up the crime.

The hits just keep coming for the corrupt Democrats in NM. But they or their cronies just keep getting re-elected by the dumb Dems.
No party affiliation in the link, so must be.....
Another PING! to the NM list.
Indeed, no mention at all. But for us living here, we know the Dems control state government from top to bottom including both houses of the legislature. They can do pretty much anything they want until they’re caught.
I've seen it in just 9 months.
It’s all been downhill since Gary Johnson left office.
The Secretary of State Project, HERE, is a major part of the dems plan to keep the country from ever having an honest election again.
I believe that to be the main reason they are so arrogant...they all think they are in office for as long as they wish to be.
Worst case scenario, there will be major "national emergencies" (read crisis ala Emanuel) that will require that Homeland Security cancel or delay national elections indefinitely...and it's possible the H1N1 virus is being built up for that very reason.
Call me a "tin-foiler", but if what Obama has done to date doesn't convince you he will do anything and everything to consolidate his power, I'll eat that tin-foil hat.
