Specter wants Wilson censured
Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Penn.), who's looked at POTUS from both sides now, was just on the Bill Press radio show suggesting the South Carolina firebrand Joe Wilson be censured for his heckle heard round the world.
Said the Republican-turned-Dem:
"He apologized immediately afterward but I don't think thats adequate... If an apology is the consequence of an outburst I think we can expect more thats not a sufficient penalty thats not a sufficient price to pay.. I'm not saying the guy should be kicked out of the House
But there ought to be some rebuke, reprimand, censure -- something that will discourage that kind of conduct in the future. If you do that to the President, it's open season."
Earlier on his show, Press spoke with House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC), who said Wilson should "man up" and apologize directly to Obama -- or that Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) should mea culpa the White House on his behalf.

...why doesnt he have Pelosi censored... Not "censored", but "censured".
Censored = silenced; Censured = chastised, reproved, punished

Specter wants Wilson censured Censure may be in order but let's first determine if Wilson lied when he said Obama lied.
It is my opinion that Obama did indeed lie; not a flat out lie but a lie steeped in omission. An example of Obama's intellectual dishonesty.
Reading what Obama refers to in HR 3200 is akin to writing a law that establishes the legal drinking age at 21 but the same law contains a provision forbidding the bartender from asking for identification.

They need to circle the wagons around Wilson, not leave him out to dry. This is the problem with Republicans, they don't know how to resist global socialism, a violent, destructive, movement to whose followers the ends justify the means. Wilson spoke the truth, and used an Alinsky tactic against an Alinsky-ite, to resist the further consolidation of an authoritarian regime.
But no, Republican elites will be aghast.
Have these idiots ever seen the British parliament?

It is not the job of the Senate especially Specter to tell the House what to do or not do. Somebody should introduce a bill simultaneously censuring Congressman and retroactively censuring the Democrats who booed Bush in his State of the Union address in 2005.

It’s perfectly fine with Arlen that in a joint session of Congress, televised around the world, Obama called Sarah Palin a liar along with calling more than half of Americans liars and crazies.
Obama will be the tool destroying America but fools like Specter, Graham, McCain, Kennedy, Frank, Pelosi and Reid are the ones who set the stage, enable him, and protect him.
Of the 545 individuals in Congress, the White House and SCOTUS how many are actally loyal patriots, worthy of the trust they are given?
Certainly no more than 10 percent.

Well, then...by the same standard, Obama should be censured for calling his opponents liars in his speech last night:
"Some of people's concerns have grown out of bogus claims spread by those whose only agenda is to kill reform at any cost. The best example is the claim, made not just by radio and cable talk show hosts, but prominent politicians, that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens. Such a charge would be laughable if it weren't so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple."
And where's their apology from him for that remark? {crickets}

Joe Wilson, If they censure you, WEAR IT AS A BADGE OF COURAGE. TAKE BACK YOUR APPOLOGY.

Hmmm. My memory isn't too good, but were any of the following censured?:Teddy Kennedy when he called President Bush "Liar, Liar" on the floor of the Senate; when Dicky-boy Durbin compared our soldiers to Nazis....
I could go on, but you catch my drift...
