He will say it was an inappropriate forum to call the President a liar but what the President was saying was not truthful.
The non apology-apology approach couldn't be more disingenuous or weaker. There was no need for Wilson to apologize since he was stating fact.

Joe Wilson singlehandedly changed the political equation tonight, and whether or not he apologized later does not undo the good that he did.
Whatever good he did was negated by the non apology-apology. Now he appears as the typical OP wimp cow towing to the very people who are violating every Constitutional rule of law to destroy this country. It's disgusting.

It will aways be a big deal. Somebody had to be the one to yell it first. Wilson was it. Politicians "apologize" for one thing or another every day. It has never undone whatever they did. BO's so called speech will always contain this interlude. He has now wasted his time making it. Let the complete beclownment of this "administration" begin. (with appropriate apologies and sincerest regrets, of course.) If we 'follow our own rule book', how can they 'hit us with it'?

Don't kid yourself, those two words "YOU LIE!" are going to reverberate for the rest of 0bama's days, count on it.

After all that has been put before them, in plain sight, Americans still don’t get it.
Just ignore what comes after this sentence, please.
They are trying to forever change the fundamentals of our system of government. Translation: you will no longer live for your own sake but for the sake of your neighbor and the state.
I cannot believe I see sniveling little putz Republicans whing about Joe Wilson’s lack of ‘respect’ for a man who obviously has no respect for our way of life.
These people will make your life much harder, folks. The worst case scenario is the death of many, many people.
So this is how we’ll end the great experiment, is it? The celebration of a man’s race, a pleasing voice, civil servant doctors, and good manners.
Well, I hope all of you nice-guy Republicans enjoy it all, you deserve it.

This is a political and very historical moment.I bet Obama is seething over this. This is what everyone will be talking about and not the merits of healthcare. And why this really hurts Obama is it reinforces what has been forming in a vast majority of the minds of the American people.
When you say you can cover 30-45 million additional people, add wellness, prescreening, and improve quality of care, WITHOUT costing any money..... everyone knows instinctively you ARE lying. And it doesn’t take an economic PHD to understand that. It is another Joe the Plumber moment. I’m glad this is what everyone is talking about.

A most excellent analogy!
Looks like most of the news about the speech has more to do with this guy's outcry than the drivel Barry was spouting. The guy channeled what most of us were shouting in our living rooms.
The thing I can't figure out is how Rahmbo got the horse's head in his bed that quickly.

Obama starts the "liar" name calling in his speech...
Obama:Some of peoples concerns have grown out of bogus claims spread by those whose only agenda is to kill reform at any cost. The best example is the claim, made not just by radio and cable talk show hosts, but prominent politicians, that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens. Such a charge would be laughable if it werent so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple.

No, not yet. There are still millions upon millions of REAL Americans who will lay down their lives before bowing their knees to the 0bamunist bastards that have seized our government.
Bet on it.

Yes. It is a Joe the plumber moment. That is exactly what this is. Wilson is not a "wimp" or a "coward", he is a friend. A few more weeks of such apologies about other events such as this will have us sitting pretty, as the democrats decompose into the puddle of fetid goo they arose from.
To: volunbeer
I agree completly. He called to apologize for his actions, not what he said. This takes a big man.
