No, we’re stuck to living a higher standard because we have a higher standard. For that I am glad.
The people Joe Wilson should apologize to is us. Because when he lost control it hurt our side of the debate. I don’t give a damn that he hurt the feeling of BO or anybody on their side. It’s the fact he hurt our position in this debate that ticks me off.

It was the only true thing uttered tonight in that room.

Didn't hurt our side at all. Unbeknownst to you Obama had not talked about any of this with any Republicans since early April.
We are not in the debate. The Democrats are simply forcing this down everybody's throat.
But, alas, they're making some serious mistakes. They set it up to give the President a national platform to Make His Case, and instead he came over to call everybody a liar.
That's always a very weak way to make your case. We already know the arguments there, so it's time to tell us something new, and he didn't.
The Democrats wasted their opportunity.
Joe Wilson didn't waste his.

We’ll ALWAYS be known as the party with a higher standard.
But this is war. Look around.
A minority in all houses with an adversarial MSM in an economy that’s going over a cliff.
And led by a Communist who hates the United States that you and I love.

The Democrats do this and worse all the time. They set the rules of the fight, about time we responded with some spunk.
Like Rush always says, passion is a must I you want to engage and win.

Have you been snorting from Obama's mirror? Wilson's spontaneously calling a liar a liar was a tremendous thing. The truth must be told, in context, robustly, not timidly, hoping, oh gee, I've got to be winsome to win some. This is NOT a debate. It's a war to the death of the nation that is being called a debate by those attacking the nation in order to coerce the opposition into acting as though it really were a debate while honing the bayonet for a sudden thrust through the gut. Comity is for equals who disagree about particulars but who share fundamental underlying values. You and the robber want the same thing--your money, but that's no reason to engage in debate with a barbarian who means to despoil you.

Because when he lost control it hurt our side of the debate.Amen to that. Aside from this blunder, conservatives have lost faith in the Republican Party. Prior to the 2008 election, we found ourselves in a real quandary. Vote for McCain or stay home. Why? Because neither major party represented our values!
At some point after Obama is thrown out of office, the country should consider starting over with "coffee klatches" from sea to sea, the demand being to bring about term limits for Reps and Senators. The longer they are entrenched, I suspect the more dishonest they become.
