This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the Presidents remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the Presidents statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.

He had to do so. However, doing so after the fact is like eating an ice cream cone on a 100 degree day and apologizing for eating two scoops instead of one. It’s done and we are better for it
That’s OK! His shout out is on record forever. During the fray I wonder what Franklin might have jumped up and said, only to apologise for the civility of his behavior afterward. He sure as hell isn’t taking it back. Wilson wins.
Me too Dinah, me too. And the look on Pelosi’s face? “How DARE he!” was PRICELESS, I loved it!
And Rush.
Nah! Don’t despair. All he did was apologize for the “lack of civility.” He really didn’t apologize for calling obama a liar. His comment stands. I wrote a comment on the CNN cite: “Way to go, Joe. You’re the only one who told the truth tonight.” CNN moderates comments. We’ll see if they post mine.
Republicans always buckle under pressure! It makes me sad, too.
Wow...that was fast!
Now they have ammo. Wilson, with his apology, loaded their cannon.
And this is why I am no longer a republican.
(I wonder if I can copyright that?)
you need a clearer shot. there is a video on youtube from ABC where it is not fuzzy.
Too late. It will live on YouTube forever. And BO won’t live it down.
IMO, he is apologizing for “lack of civility” not content.
Maybe it was rude, but we’ve been civil and quiet for WAY TOO LONG!!!!
Right! What about him having his minions “get in their face”?
New posters for the Tea Parties. Washington awash on Sept.12th with “YOU LIE” signs!
BUMP what you said!
My guess is that Wilson already had his “apology” ready this afternoon.
The world got to see the looks on the faces of those bozos when he said it. Priceless.
You’re absolutely right, FlingWingFlyer. Already Drudge had that up as the story—not the long-winded, boring speech spoken by a man who loves to hear himself talk, saying the very same things he’s been saying about that trainwreck of a health care reform. The story is that one word: LIAR. It was more than a word; it was America’s hand slapping Zero across his arrogant face.
