WASHINGTON – The nastiness of August reached from the nation's town halls into the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday as President Barack Obama tried to move his health care plan forward.

South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "You lie!" after Obama had talked about illegal immigrants...

When I saw her shaking her head I couldn't quite figure out what she was doing. I just thought that she might be chewing up a lobster or something.

He was lying. The health bill places no condition on immigration status before someone will be covered by the program. Republicans in the house committee proposed an amendment requiring proof of citizenship and it was defeated. Why would the democrats vote against that unless they were planning to cover illegal immigrants?

Well, AP, Associated with Terrorists, says nastiness entered the halls of Capitol Hill when a Republican Congressman correctly say to Obama "you lie" after Obama told a lie.

And this is after Obama implied that Sarah Palin lied, that all the critics of ObamaCare are liars and that only Obama himself tells the truth.

Obama sets a nasty divisive tone with smears and accusations. Then at the end, he lies about coming together that there's no other alternatives and that he has the only ideas.

Sorry, AP, Associated with Terrorists, you can't cover for the guy. You can't spin the story. You can't influence anyone, who already doesn't believe you. You can't move anything off the dime.

Maybe so, but shouting that the president is a liar to his face as he addresses a joint session of Congress is classless and counter-productive. When someone you oppose is stumbling and about to fall, you get out of his way - you don't build up sympathy for him.
