When I was a kid I remember the TV ads, over and over: "Wisk, what is it?" Being a kid I was really excited over the hype. Then we all knew - another detergent. (Hey - I was about 4.)

Agreed. Heard him earlier saying people would be arrested by the end of the week.

Hint, hint, hint... but...

Reminds me of Geraldo's hype about opening Al Capone's safe -- in the end there was nothing there.

The real problem is that if they turn out to be baloney, the person doing the hyping loses all credibility. If health care is still the big issue tomorrow, I will have lost all respect for Beck.

Remember, he works for Rupert Murdoch, who has a business to run, with competition. Yes he's winning, but as a business owner, he must stay ahead.

I run a business as well. With different competition, but I will do everything ethically possible to stay ahead, just as he is.

The media outlets are not charity operations, nor do we want them to be, or they will all be MSNBC. The closest thing to government run media as you can imagine.

Things are not always the way we would like them to appear for our own benefit, but in the end ...
