I have to admit that I'm curious to hear Barack Obama's plea for health care reform to both houses of the Congress tonight, though I really don't think we're going to hear much of anything new.
Rather, I think he's going to try to present the same old soup that's just been heated up in a different bowl when it comes to his views on what he terms health insurance reform but which most Americans who have even a passing interest in the subject really know is an attempt to sneak through a nationalized health system similar to what the Canadians and British have.
The last two days have been highly enlightening when it comes to the effort on the part of Democrats to come up with a plan that's broadly acceptable to all the various advocacy blocs in that party's congressional delegation. Good luck with that, I say.
I don't really see how radical far-left pols like Nancy Pelosi and Henry Waxman will be able to rationalize allowing a bill to leave the House that doesn't include the public option and I'm not all that sure Barack Obama himself -- being a complete creation of hardcore leftist thought -- is all that eager to give up on the idea.
There'll be a couple of clues into Obama's thought processes tonight on whether or not he thinks he can win this debate and go against the wishes of the majority of Americans who certainly didn't vote last November for one of the greatest boondoggles in history, which is actually what so-called "health care reform" really is.
As far as a battlefield goes, this isn't normally the kind of uncertain ground any commander would normally order his troops to prepare to fight upon, though

They may be able to “prepare” the Battlefield BUT WE have all of the “Key Terrain”.
Tomorrows Headline: OBAMA Scores Big Comeback on Healthcare. That’s how the media will spin it no matter what he says.
For sure. The hallelujah chorus from the media will be loud and proud. It’ll be the greatest speech since the sermon on the mount, from all indications ;-)

They’re marching into a fire sack and they’re too dumb and fanatic to see it. I liken what’s going to happen to the them to be what the Chinese communist troops got when 30,000 or more of them went down at the hands of a couple thousand Marines during the Korean War.
What’s for sure is that the 2010 elections are going to be pretty interesting if they try to force something like ObamaCare on us.
since demonizing the “greedy insurance companies” did not work for them, I am not quite sure what they can do to “prepare the battlefield”

You are probably right. However, if he keeps the public option in his speech and also takes a swipe at those who oppose him, his poll numbers will begin to head downward again in the next few days.
