The era of cheap air travel cannot continue, according to Government advisers, who have called for a global cap on aviation emissions to prevent catastrophic climate change. ....
However the Committee on Climate Change (CCC) fears unlimited growth of air travel will cause greenhouse gas emissions to increase and therefore cause global warming.

One thing that has always been true is that climate will change. To pretend to be able to understand it and even influence it is fantasy about as reasonable as King Canute's demonstration that he didn't command the tides.

I’ve been wondering when we would see this type of proposal. In addition, we should eliminate all leisure sports. Think of all of the unnecessary carbon emissions resulting from Formula 1, NASCAR and the flights involved with moving NFL, NCAA, NBA, MLB, Golfers, etc.
All unecessary travel should be banned! (is a sarc tag really needed?)
