Former White House aide Van Jones, who resigned at midnight Saturday night on Labor Day weekend, explained in his resignation letter,
"On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide
.But
I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future."

Van should sue for DEFINITION OF CHARACTER...
Said the Communist, Van Jones: “On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me.”
As said by brighter minds, don’t you just hate it when your very own words fly back to haunt you, hurt you and bring you down?

;)
It is always “vicious smear.” Never just “smear.”
“That cracker is telling the truth about me! That cracker is quoting me! God damn America!”
Did you ever notice how all these clowns do is talk about the “fight”, the “struggle”, the “battle”? And none of them are ever fighters in any real sense. This is straight out of the Little Red Book of Chairman Mao...
They are out and out Communists.
Obama meant it when he stated he wants to “transform” America. It's just not in the way people ever imagined for a free capitalistic, democracy. They want a dictatorship.
Obama has successfully skirted the vetting of appointees but creating a layer of Czars that he APPOINTS without any input from the Senate. No, he's not “nuts”. Neither are his evil Czars. They are busily transforming the U.S. into a Communist dictatorship and a defenseless third world nation.
“It is always vicious smear. Never just smear.
Yep...are you going to believe Van or your own lying eyes and ears?
I didn’t know he had any
Being married to Mo, you may be right.
Me me me me... nope, not a smear campaing. we wanted to keep you in so stupid you were Van Jones.
Obama loves his nuts, makes him look better as he sits quietly cheerng.
Never get into a conversation with the Devil. He will confuse you and have you feeling sorry for him.
I look at people like Van Jones as his children-by-default. They cover themselves with a false righteousness that fools gullible people into granting them good faith. No sense of personal responsibility to any code that can be identified by normal people. They always claim to follow some esoteric code unrevealed to lesser people, but they will kindly reveal “the truth” to you...for cush speaking gigs and government positions and moolah. Do not make the mistake of holding thim to even their own code, because false prophets get a pass, you dig?
Cicero said of traitors: They appeal to the most base instincts in man. Strip away these men’s phony righteousness facade and you will find an appeal to cowardice, greed, lust, etc.
“cowardice, greed, lust”
Could there be three more typical leftist traits?
Poor Van Jones
MAybe Van could use a little more schooling -
Hoist with your own petard
That is to say
Injured by the device that you intended to use to injure others.
Origin
The phrase ‘hoist with one’s own petar[d]’ is often cited as ‘hoist by one’s own petar[d]’. The two forms mean the same, although the former is strictly a more accurate version of the original source. A petard is, or rather was, as they have long since fallen out of use, a small engine of war used to blow breaches in gates or walls. They were originally metallic and bell-shaped but later cubical wooden boxes. Whatever the shape, the significant feature was that they were full of gunpowder - basically what we would now call a bomb.
The device was used by the military forces of all the major European fighting nations by the 16th century. In French and English - petar or petard, and in Spanish and Italian - petardo.
The dictionary maker John Florio defined them like this in 1598:
“Petardo - a squib or petard of gun powder vsed to burst vp gates or doores with.”
The French have the word ‘péter’ - to fart, which it’s hard to imagine is unrelated.
Petar was part of the everyday language around that time, as in this rather colourful line from Zackary Coke in his work Logick, 1654:
“The prayers of the Saints ascending with you, will Petarr your entrances through heavens Portcullis”.
Once the word is known, ‘hoist by your own petard’ is easy to fathom. It’s nice also to have a definitive source - no less than Shakespeare, who gives the line to Hamlet (1603):
“For tis the sport to have the enginer Hoist with his owne petar”.
Note: engineers were originally constructors of military engines
Quote of the week!
In Spanish, you could say “levantado por su propio pedo.” (lifted by his own fart—hot air from both ends did him in.)
LOL
COrrect. I had consider porting it in French, but have had it pointed out to me that few in America par-lay-vu
Didn’t Jesse Jackson say something about that?
We underestimate them to our peril.
