The Super Bowl XLV effort has been a celebrity draw, attracting everyone from football legends (Roger Staubach) to business legends (T. Boone Pickens).
Now, the host committee has landed its biggest names yet: former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush.
They will be co-chairs of an educational, community service and art project that's being described as the largest of its kind in the country aimed at elementary school children.

Missing them both ..... awful.
oh me too STARWISE!!!!!!
~!~Picture NOT from this event, but is with
the article. We Dosers remember well where this
picture was taken ........ ;)
What a beautiful woman Laura Bush is...
She was out defending President Obama today for his speech to the school children. She should have mentioned her father in law did the same thing and the Democrats investigated him for it!!
sob! they left us here with these...these...freAKIN’ SOCIALISTS!
I would love to see President Bush come swaggering back into Washington and give an address on the steps of the Capital about the corruption and dishonor that this Obama administration has brought to our country.
Yes, she is. We know it. Instead of the MSM “telling” us that a certain FL is the hottest thing around when she’s definitely not.
Thank you STARWISE! I want to close my eyes and wake up and the Bushes are back in office, any Bush would do! How I miss the honor and the integrity!
I take the Dallas Morning News only on weekends, for the obits, TV skd. and puzzles. The rest goes to recycling because it is all liberal trash.
I clicked the link and read the comments below the article. At least 90% were from frothing-at-the-mouth liberal RATS still suffering from BDS, who are the primary audience of the DMN and the only group that keeps the rag in business.
Two good people that believe strongly in public service. God bless them both.
Me, too, Starwise! Miss them so bad sometimes, I just crave to see them on t.v. again. I have seen O on t.v. so much it seems he has been in office 4 years already! Don’t know how we will be able to stand it for 3-1/2 more years. If only he would do something so bad he would be impeached! (I think he already has!) LOL!
I miss Bush.........Hell ! I miss Clinton!!
She wouldn’t mention her father-in-law’s trouble because she has always just shrugged and said “that’s the way politics is”. In other words why spend a second on the point when you KNOW that’s how it has been, is and will be.
She doesn’t like it. She has said many times she doesn’t like politics, except for one part and that is, in politics you get to meet people and you have influence over some important causes (she means nonpolitical causes). But the petty, unfair attacks and partisanship she HATES.
As for Obama’s speech to kids, you might want to know that she mentioned there were reasons parents objected to the accompanying lesson plan. So she did put down the lesson plan, which is at least something.
After that, I believe she focused on the message of “work hard in school, overcome obstacles even family ones and others, stay in school, don’t drop out, discover what you’re good at and like and stay focused on it until you reach your goals”...that type of thing.
She must have thought those points would benefit children and that is what she cares about. She has the greatest heart for each school child, as the teacher she was and education advocate she is.
I don’t agree with everything Laura does or says, believe me. But I understand where she’s coming from...she hasn’t hidden it and you can see her patterns are consistent.
I know. Appalling comments .. and I might add,
typical of what you’ll find in any comments
section of articles where Pres. Bush is even
mentioned glancingly.
COOL
I hate Cowgirls that really cool
Cool!
Sure miss them!! <3 <3
