The News’ reported numerous developers made tens of thousands of dollars in campaign donations to Carrión around the same time he was considering approving their projects in the Bronx.
Carrión also hired an architect for one of the biggest projects to design a renovation of his home. The job was complete in February 2007, but Carrión has not paid the architect.
The White House has repeatedly declined to comment on the News’ findings except to say Carrión should pay the bill, which is slightly over $3,600.
Crew asked Holder “to initiate an immediate investigation into pay-to-play allegations” outlined in The News.
“It appears Mr. Carrión routinely approved development projects in exchange for campaign contributions,” Sloan said.
“In addition, Mr. Carrión personally benefitted by accepting free design work from an architect who needed his official assistance. This is exactly the kind of conduct that makes Americans skeptical of our politicians.”

I don’t recall hearing Bush 41’s speech in 1991. I was in 7th grade at the time.
Kids don’t need someone who went to school in a foreign country (who cannot be honest about what he learned there) lecturing them about what they should learn in school, yet DUh-bama constantly refuses to release his own school records so we can see for ourselves what kind of student he really was.
It is plain as day he had his own father figure and mentor, Frank Marshall Davis among others, and what he learned from them. His mother dumped him off with his grand parents and shows disrespect for his own grandmother for raising him as a “typical (racist) white woman”. When DUh-bama fails, he labels those who don’t buy into his ideas as “racist” for opposing.
Why would any parent allow DUh-bama to speak to their kids about “responsibility” when he was too irresponsible to pay traffic fines from 30 years ago until he was on his way to the White House. Allowing kids to be lectured about what skills they will need for working in the future from someone who’s never got his hands dirty and disrespects those who are working a real job is quite irresponsible.
It is nothing more than hypocrisy from a community aggitator who constantly works to divide people speaking to kids about how to build up the community while he works hard every day to destroy it. I will never trust someone who spent years with Bill Ayers working on projects to indoctrinate youth in Chicago with socialism and then expects people to believe he’s “just a guy in my neighborhood”.
I will not give the benefit of doubt that the speech will be “innocuous” from Saul Alinksy’s hand maiden who now puts what he learned into practice. It’s nothing more than propaganda from someone who classifies returning soldiers, veterans, and those who disagree with him and his policies as “domestic terrorists”.
DUh-bama claims he was “absent” during Rev’rund Wright’s 20 years of racist sermons, yet surrounds himself with those who share the beliefs of those who constantly bash the morals and values this country was founded upon. DUh-bama cannot speak about how students should set goals and work to attain them while hiding his true intentions and continue to lie about his own goals while refusing to allow voters who don’t support him to have their voices heard.
When speaking to the local school board, I was told that there was going to be no interruption to normal class day, yet they send “opt out” forms leaving it up to individual teachers. My children are smart enough to see through DUh-bama’s propaganda, but since the school has a couple of hours to waste by cutting their instruction day of the “three R’s” to replace with “3 C’s and a P”, then they get a P.A.S.S. and an extra holiday if for no other reason to send a message that my kids are not property of the state.
Carrion? Interesting what a name says about a person.
