This is what Barack Obama does. Back him into a corner, get the press all wee-weed up, send his polls ratings plummeting and the aging basketball player responds again and again with the same move: he delivers a major speech. And why not? It keeps working. It's the thing that first introduced him to the nation, at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. It is what extricated him from the Jeremiah Wright mess during the campaign. It has become the central method of his foreign policy push, in Prague, Cairo, Moscow and Accra.

The gloss is off the One. Prof. Hill even last night gave up on the Van Jones didn’t know what he was signing defense when confronted with the news that the 9/11 petitioners admittently called him personally for the endorsement to make sure he knew what he was supporting. He even seemed to imply it was stupid for the WH to have him obviously pass around proper vetting before hiring him. I had to pick my jaw up off the floor.
Anyone think these two could get their faces any farther up in between Obamas’ cheeks, than they already are?

Hopefully, sooner rather than later, people will wise up.
Actually, his constant speech making is having the opposite effect - people are tired of his narcissistic mug being in their faces all the time, telling them how great he is and how dumb they are.
