I’ve read bits and pieces of the “lesson plan,” including the section you quoted, here on FR.

I totally understand why many parents would/will keep their kids home today, I just don’t happen to be one of them. If I even contemplated such a move my daughter would have been all over me about it. Today’s the 1st day of school, and her 1st day in Middle School, nothing short of an act of God would have kept her away today, and I don’t blame her.

Even if they were to implement the entire “lesson plan” I would not be concerned, as she’s pretty grounded in her positions, even at 11. She put up with a lot of grief last year with her support of McCain/Palin, but stood her ground and never backed down.

Knowing her, if they do show the speech in school, it will be the very first thing she tells me when she gets home.

IF he wasn't using the children as a shield then more people wouldn't be so upset. He is a manipulator and since alot of schools are not even in class yet it appears that this does have an ulterior motive.

Of course the birth certificate court case TODAY is really wouldn't be an excuse would it.
