There are certain pro-forma things that must be said by people who were in positions of prominence, especially FLOTUS and POTUS. That always means speaking good of all others in the office and supporting the office.
The fact that clinton, carter and now the TOTUS-reader flaunt those conventions don’t mean those conventions have disappeared.
Yes they have disappeared around here. It doesn’t matter how repulsive and insane we found the conduct of the left for the 8 years of Bush’s terms. The left won so I guess that excuses all sorts of low rent and self-justifying behavior on right.
Laura Bush is a classy lady. People expect her to deviate from that and to her credit she doesn’t.

Regardless of your assertion. Those conventions are deader than a doornail, and the sooner we start responding to reality, the sooner the usurpers will be stopped, or at least slowed down.
