Oh, I read the speech. Onthe surface it sounds good enough. Just like all his campaign speeches. Problem is, this has never been done before, why now? And, I know who the POTUS is. A lying, coniving, dictator-wanna-be, communist.

I read speech and it is boring boring boring. A real snoozer. I predict at least half the kids will be asleep and the other half will be busy texting.

Giant waste of time.

I read it too.

It has to many attempts to get children to imprint on him.

I felt alone too.

I expect you to

Personal stories about himself.

Eff that.

He ain’t Parent in chief.

Sorry Mrs. Bush. I was not condemning of it until I read it.

Also how can he address K-12 with that speech?
Little kids wont understsand all that.

I would suggest she read Reagan’s text when he spoke to Jr High kids and see the vast difference in message.

I read the speech too and felt incensed. And I understand this speech was toned down!

Who the heck is this guy to preach to my sons the value of anything? That’s my job. It’s my job to teach my children why they need to get an education; it’s my job to teach them why they need to stay in school and why they need to arm themselves with knowledge. This is not the President’s job. My children do not belong to the Government.

It's been done before. Several times, including by GHW Bush.

I read it too. Seems alright to me. And this has been done before, by Reagan and Bush 41 at least, probably others.

I object to the curriculum dictated by the White House, but after reading the speech, there is nothing wrong with it.
