Respect him Laura? You mean the way he respects your husband, the former President? In case you haven’t noticed, he’s still bashing President Bush. He’ll get zero respect from me. In fact, I don’t believe I’ve ever put the word “President” in front of his name.

Hey Laura, praising the Messiah is not going to gain you any favors. At every turn he blames your husband for every ill befalling our country. You and your husbands softness cost conservatives the house and the senate, and brought us Pelosi, Reed, and our muslim Kenya born president Barry Soetoro. If you haven’t figured it out yet, your remaining supporters detest Dear Leader and his socialist agenda. You basically are spitting on your remaining supporters.

The former first lady said she believed criticism of the speech had arisen because of the accompanying lesson plans. If parents are opposed to the address, said Bush, "That's their right. You know that certainly is the right of parents to choose what they want their children to hear in school… (But) I think it's also really important for everyone to respect the President of the United States."

Notice they did not quote her verbatim about the lesson plans. And the "..." indicates they left something else out. Typical MSM ploy.

She's right about a certain level of respect due to the President. But she also spoke out about the lesson plans. So maybe she was not so off base if all she said had been recorded.

I like Laura Bush, but I sense a bit of Stockholm Syndrome in her remarks here.....

I think Laura Bush falls under the useful idiot category.

I think she said he had the right to give a speech to the students as Ronald Reagan did...George Senior did and George Junior did. She is just saying what is the big deal. Republicans can, but democrats can't? She thought the whole criticism was silly. I did not get to watch the entire interview just a snippet as I was walking out the door.
