At a White House interfaith dinner honoring Ramadan, President Barack Obama said: "The contribution of Muslims to the United States are too long to catalog because Muslims are so interwoven into the fabric of our communities and our country."
No member of the national media took Mr. Obama to task for the historical inaccuracy of his remarks, let alone his pandering to the Islamists in attendance, and no one asked the President to list a few of the contributions of Muslims to American society.
In his efforts to single out a distinguished Islamic American, Mr. Obama pointed to Muhammad Ali, the former boxing champion and draft dodger who declared that he would not "take part in Christian wars or wars of any unbelievers." An apt choice. Ali, the model Muslim, once said: “We don't want to be forced to integrate. Integration is wrong. We don't want to live with the white man; that's all." In relation to inter-racial marriage, the former champ quipped: "No intelligent black man in his right black mind wants white boys and white girls coming to their homes to marry their black sons and daughters." Of course, if a former white heavy weight champ made such statements, he would be castigated as a hate-mongering racist who shopuld be tarred and feathered.

The syste of chattle slavery was not really part of European culture until it was introduced by the Moors into occupied Spain and Portugal. It also helped develope the US and latin American slave economies — and let us not forget the big question; what religion were the African and Arabic slave raiders who caught Animistic tribespeople and sold them to the highest bidder?

There was one contribution the Islamic world made very early to US History - they were the slavers that captured and sold the huge numbers of African blacks to the French, Portuguese, and Spanish (and also to the English and Dutch, later on) to be used in colonizing the New World, and creating the great plantations of sugar cane, cotton and tobacco which were among the great exports back to Europe when it was no longer appropriate to steal the gold and silver from the Aztecs in Mexico and Central America, and the Mayas of South America.
There is another contribution noted in the first line of the US Marine Hymn - “From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli”, referring to the expedition sent to the Barbary Coast to put down the Muslim pirates operating in that part of the world, under the auspices of the Ottoman Turks.

Maybe the haloed one is confusing NYC and Philadelphia fire companies that formed Zouave Volnuteer units in the Civil War. They mimiced Moroccan units who were in the employ of France in the 1850s. Obama’s problem is that he doesn’t know when to sit down, shut up and behave presidential. Instead he’s behaving exactly the same way that Hugo Chavez does. Bellicose, self aggrandizing, pompous, overbearing and intrusive. Obama appears to have studied how to behave & govern like Hugo.
