Amazingly, many New York Times print readers still don't know why Van Jones resigned! Here's how the paper's John Broder describes his situation:
The adviser, Van Jones, a controversial and charismatic community organizer and "green jobs" advocate from the San Francisco Bay Area, signed a petition in 2004 questioning whether the Bush administration had allowed the terrorist attacks of September 2001 to provide a pretext for war in the Middle East. [E.A.]
Reading that, would you realize the petition was a Truther petition? You might think Jones simply made the standard argument that Bush shouldn't have used 9/11 to help gin up the Iraq War--as opposed to suggesting that Bush "may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war," which is what the petition actually said [E.A.] ...
P.S.: Is this a) the famous meddling liberal Times editors rewriting Broder's lede graf to soften the blow to Jones or b) Broder sanding the facts in order to make his apparent thesis--that the White House was somewhat coldy caving in to conservative attacks on a minor official--more plausible (if the petition's wording had been made clear, after all, it might have looked like the conservatives had the goods on Jones and the White House was actually doing Jones a favor by letting him resign quietly), or c) incompetence--maybe second-string editors filling in over Labor Day who permitted either (a) or (b)?

I don’t like to use the word evil very often, as it is very much over-used. But the New York Times is very frequently an evil newspaper. Deliberately spreading lies and falsifications to advance its leftist agenda.
Does the New York Times even care what a 9/11 Truther is? My guess is a resounding “NO”.
Wow, regular NY Times readers really know what is going on in the world!
LOL. Give that paper a Pulitzer!
I think the most damaging thing Jones said was that you never see black kids doing a Columbine. The racist implications and comparisons would have made the Gates affair look like a pillow fight.
“Amazingly, many New York Times print readers still don’t know why Van Jones resigned!”
Of course not...because you’ve never told your print readers what a ‘truther’ is...
Green jobs have no scientific, objective criteria - only the 'feelgoodism' of its followers and the political power and control derived from its implementation.
You=NY Times
It is indisputuable. If you are a liberal, you are more likely to believe that than a conservative would be.
What I am concerned about is his Socialist, Marxist and Racist roots, and his quotes like this: "..."The environmental justice community that said, 'Hey, wait a minute, you know, you're regulating, but you're not regulating equally.' And the white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people-of-color communities, because they don't have a racial justice frame."
1. He's a Commie?
2. He's a Commie?
3. Stop me if you've heard this; He's a Commie!
Well let’s see-Jones resigned ,but rest assured he is still in Obama’s circle of advisers. You won’t see him . That’s a given.
And Van Jones is Obama’s equally “controversial and charismatic community organizer” evil twin.
1. Doing Crack, selling Crack.
2. Beating up their ho's.
3. Doing 25 to life for murder.
4. Playing ball in the NBA after their release from prison.
5. Impregnating underage girls.
6. Drinking Colt .45 prior to drive-by killings.
How am I doing so far. I've got a million of them!
This is not new, and it dates at least back to the '80s. Remember the "CIA spread crack in black communities" charge during the Reagan era?
I would guess the publisher, the editors, and 75% of the mice in the NY Times newsroom are themselves truthers.
bump
“How am I doing so far. I’ve got a million of them! “
See ..that’s what I mean Jones started another race discussion.
I would add breeding and fighting dogs to the list.
Agreed...but these people weren’t operating in a shadow government under a racist, Alinsky-radical President like Barack Obama.
But I know what you mean.
There is some evidence that this man had close ties to Michelle Obama . . it was she who wanted Van Jones.
These people are closet radicals. I am still so angry at George W. Bush for messing up the economy and bringing these two into power.
