Our proposed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein wants to ban hunting, animal agriculture and give animals the right to sue in court.
His notion is that more can be accomplished by tweaking regulations like the Endangered Species Act to achieve his aims than straightforward attempts to give animals rights to sue in court and be represented by a lawyer as he has proposed. Senators Chambliss and Cornyn have put holds on his nomination, but they and our other representatives need to hear from us.

So, in Sunstein’s world, if a cat kills and eats a bird, does the bird’s family get to sue the cat? The cat’s owner? No.. but if it's a RAT.. well that's a different story.

I think you meant “Dahmer”. Regardless, I was thinking more of hunting for “trophies”; the likely targets are probably too stringy and greasy for the table. ;-)

I’m not talking about animals that mauled a person, like a pit bull that was trained to be vicious by some crack dealer. The cases in New Jersey were about neighborhood dogs that bit someone for whatever reason.Any animal that bites me, for any reason, will be summarily executed.
