Cass Sunstein in his own words
google videos ^ | April 24, 2 | Cass Sunstein

Posted on 09/07/2009 8:20:10 AM PDT by finnsheep

Our proposed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein wants to ban hunting, animal agriculture and give animals the right to sue in court.

His notion is that more can be accomplished by tweaking regulations like the Endangered Species Act to achieve his aims than straightforward attempts to give animals rights to sue in court and be represented by a lawyer as he has proposed. Senators Chambliss and Cornyn have put holds on his nomination, but they and our other representatives need to hear from us.

The relevant part is 48 minutes into the video. You only need to listen to about two minutes.

This practice of using Czars should be outlawed. So Republicans have done it too; kill such practice anyway. I have already contacted my 2 senators here in Ga. We need to start a movement to eliminate once and for all this practice of appointing czars.

It would appear he would also like to see the end of meat eating. Good luck with that one. Who vets these fools?

They could not “vet” this guy because it would be animal abuse.

“I suppose we could always hunt something other than game animals.”

Now that’s funny.

Sad to say, we’re already at that point. Several states require a hearing if an animal bites someone. Evidence is presented and if the animal is determined to be “dangerous” then it is put down. Dangerous does not mean that it tore the head off an infant sleeping in a pram. It means that it bit, even if it bit because some fool was poking it with a stick. My former home state of New Jersey had such rules.

I listened to this video. Sunstein is a real nut case. It isn’t even a close call.

Something to think about.
Does Obama appoint these dingbat whackos with the intent that they are red herrings to occupy the conservatives, while he is doing far more devious things.
These whacko czars seem to fall on their swords rather easily to take the heat off of the ONE.

If you do a little more digging on this guy you will see that there are MULTIPLE problems. Sunstein believes that Roosevelt's New Deal did not go far enough and that it is time for the second part of the New Deal. I believe both him and Obama see Obama as the new Roosevelt. In essence, Sunstein’s theory with this book seems an awful lot like communism. And let's not even get started on how he perceives and interprets the Constitiution - lol.

Sunstein has written several books, here are the title of two:

The Second Bill of Rights: FDR's Unfinished Revolution—And Why We Need It More Than Ever by Cass Sunstein

A Constitution of Many Minds: Why the Founding Document Doesn't Mean What It Meant Before by Cass R. Sunstein

>> Our proposed regulatory czar commissar, Cass Sunstein <<

Hey folks, what say we resolve to call Cass what he really aims to be, a commissar.

(Or if you're a geeky purist who prefers the original Russki spelling, комиссар!)

Remember Ozombie told us to judge him on who his advisers were...frankly, I’ve seen enough to make a good judgment.

Maybe Gauleiter would be another term.
These people must be brain damaged or stupid.Either way they should as far away from places of power as possible.

I too hate this stupid bureaucracy. If an animal bites someone it should be shot on the spot, no stupid "hearings". It's an animal after all.

I’m not talking about animals that mauled a person, like a pit bull that was trained to be vicious by some crack dealer. The cases in New Jersey were about neighborhood dogs that bit someone for whatever reason. Sometimes the reason was that someone was tormenting the animal before it bit. That didn’t matter in the hearing. They ordered it destroyed.
