AP takes another cheap shot at US forces in Afghanistan. Nowhere does this story mention the Taliban's habit of hiding among civilians.

Aren’t the Taliban pretty much civilians by definition?

When you harbor the enemy or do not abide by the geneva convention yourself, you lose all protections.

The official count of dead in the airstrike on the gas tankers dropped to about 50 people with maybe 6 of them civilians. This AP article is citing the older "propaganda number" of "70 civilians".
Read with caution ~ once AP knows the numbers and continues to report the higher but otherwise discredited numbers that puts AP over the line into the enemy camp.
I don't know if that allows us to go shoot AP reporters but maybe it does. At a minimum it ought to allow local governments to round up AP personnel pending disposition ~ deportation, trial, defenstration, whatever.

I don't know if that allows us to go shoot AP reporters but maybe it does. With this story and the AP's recent publishing of the picture of a dying young Marine, I would not be at all comfortable on the front lines if I worked for AP.

Hey, if I were an AP puke I’d be leary of parking my car in a space rented by the company.
