Director Michael Moore now wants nothing less than the complete overthrow of the modern capitalist system.
Moores long-awaited film, which will open in L.A. and New York on Sept. 23 and nationwide on Oct. 2, is in part his post-mortem on the global financial system crash that began a year ago this month with the collapse of brokerage Lehman Bros.
But the film takes on much more than the usual cast of blood-sucking bankers to make the case against capitalism, delving into unrewarded worker productivity, vultures who make their living off foreclosed homes and horror stories from a privately owned juvenile correctional facility in Pennsylvania.

He can start by redistributing his wealth to me.
He’s just vying for Van Jones’ job.
Somebody needs to send Fat Mikey another case of Twinkies and about 10 or 20 pizzas with extra cheese.
Moore hasn’t gotten fat and rich in a capitalist society. Seems to be a flaw in his argument.
Huff Po has declared war on right wingers. Moore would be a right wing target.
Yeah, I was going to say that it seems to have served him well enough.
Bring it on, tubby. Move to Venezuela and see how long it takes to die of Krispy Kreme withdrawals.
He’ll have credibility when he hands over every single dime he ever earned in a capitalistic system and goes on disability. Until then STFU michaelmooooooore
He’s almost as irrelevant again as when he made Roger and Me isn’t he.
He’ll be a footnote soon enough and will only get by living off student speaker funds from schools stupid enough to sign him up for their “Distinguished Speaker” funds. Trust me I saw George McGovern and John Anderson speak at these things they had fallen so far as to be pitiable human beings.
then he should give all the money he’s made to the poor
ya know the money he made from selling his crap movies
Fat Boy picked the wrong time and national mood for this, people are waking up to Obama and the leftists.
Fat closet communist. It’s fascinating to see so many Marxists running around in America apouting nonsense, almost 20 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union. There are two communist nations left in the World, Cuba and North Korea, and communism is really working well for them.
Michael finally got his revenge on GM, with which he was at war for many years. The remains of that corporate structure shoud be fully to his liking, regardless of the number of employees that had to be put out to pasture.
“Roger and Me” deserves revisiting, if only for the complete irony of seeing his revolutionary vision succeed.
Clever witty young lad, that Michael.
“Moore hasnt gotten fat and rich in a capitalist society.”
All of our domestic Marxists have gotten fat and rich in a capitalist society. And they’re still doing the same whining they’ve been doing for the last forty-plus years. They haven’t learned anything from history, though, as Marxism has been progressively (love that word) abandoned around the World. Perhaps they see the Obama Administration as their last chance at any relevance at all. To me, it is their last chance.
"Should a 400 lb man advise us on the evils of over-consumption? Should the resident of a million-dollar apartment claim to be a poster boy of the working class? Should a person who thought that Enron was a great investment, that Ralph Nader, Wesley Clark and John Kerry would win, and that North Korea's Kim Jong was changing for the better, advise us on ANYTHING?"
there is a difference between Capitalism and GREEDY capitalism. If his movie was realistic and focused on GREEDY capitalism. I would see it in a different light.
Keep up the good work mike. Good work of being a hypocrite.
Problem is Moore is both right and wrong. Capitalism sucks a lot of the time, but every other system sucks more. I think there are things that can make the system better.
parsy, who will wait for the DVD
“Hes almost as irrelevant again as when he made Roger and Me isnt he.”
He is a sterling demonstration of how the leftist crowd, following the herd, worships a no-talent.
