Bill Clinton’s Harlem offices have bed bugs
New York Daily News ^ | Aug 23 2009 | bedbugger.com / NY Daily News

Rush and Malloy’s Gossip column in the New York Daily News reports today that Bill Clinton’s offices are infested with bed bugs, and employees have been evacuated during treatment:

"Bedbugs have sent Bill Clinton and his staff fleeing the former President’s offices, a source tells us. No word on whether WJC actually has a bed in his Harlem suite, but the infestation is said to have been so bad that exterminators told Clintonistas to take a few days off."

That’s all we know so far.

I do not wish bed bugs on anyone, but one positive outcome is that high profile bed bug infestations like this one (and the current one at Penguin) raise people’s awareness about the spread of bed bugs and about the possibility that any location really can become infested with bed bugs.

An infested set of offices in Harlem is not an isolated incident; bed bugs may have come to Clinton’s offices via someone’s infested home, or through the walls from an infested neighbor, via someone visiting the offices, or someone else’s commute to work.

It is hard to get DDT out of the food chain because it is an oily substance that doesn’t break down or mix with water. So it’s probably not a great idea to spray it all over the place. But I can’t imagine that controlled application inside a residence would be much of a threat to anything or anyone.

The problem with the libs is that they get their kicks from controlling our lives and banning creature comforts, yet they always seem to be able to obtain anything they want. Kind of like how the gun grabber politicians all surround themselves with armed security guards.

“Bed bugs” defined:

New York lingo for what the rest of America calls “the crabs”.

I can not tell a lie. I seeded Bill Clintons Harlem offices with bed bugs.
I’m an extremist.
Onward and upward with the attack.

Hey, no problem!

Put them all in the sink. Probably the DNA laced with STD’s will kill them all.

And if that doesn't work, have Hillary visit and perform an exorcism!

You would think the bed bugs and the crab lice would fight each other to a standstill.

I stayed in a nice hotel for a conference where I had been going every year with no problem. Then I look up one night and see a cockroach which was as big as a small bird sitting up on the wall. I’m not kidding about the size, it was a monstrous thing. Had to have management come and get rid of it, and they said weird things come in the luggage of guests and get left behind. I don’t stay in hotels much since then.

DDT brings back childhood memories for me! I grew up in South Texas and can remember going to my little brother’s Little League games and every kid in town would run behind the DDT truck while it sprayed all over us! Scarey thought in looking back but lots of fun when it was happening!

A lot of hotels near the border have their employees bring back DDT laced pesticides to use on bed bugs when they come back from visiting family in Mexico. So as long as that continues it will be hard to get rid of it entirely.

“From what I understand we used to spray our soldiers with DDT in WW2 Pacific theatre to protect against mosquitos. “
and now most of them are dead.

Most? I'm pretty sure all those mosquitos are dead!

Unless he’s sleeping there, or using the office as a bachelor pad, why are bed bugs a problem?

Bed bugs need your blood to survive. They'd like you sleeping, but they're happy to bite you awake if you're hanging around.
