Clarice Feldman It seems that Obama is not going to get away with blaming the Brits for releasing the Lockerbie bomber. At least not if Downing Street can help it. The British say the White House and Secretary of State Clinton were fully informed of the decision and are deflecting blame onto the British now that the decision has proven to be unpopular.
(Of course, given how the American press hides stories, like Van Jones that reflect badly on the President, unless Americans seek out alternate media or read the foreign press the White House deflection will probably work.)

The discussions have been going on for several years, as previous articles have revealed, and the Brits have kept the U.S. informed throughout, as Downing Street now reveals.
That means that Bush also was informed. And possibly that Bush can now be blamed.
What they DON’T say is what Bush said in response to this information. In other words, is it only a coincidence that nothing was done about about releasing the bomber and making the deal with Libya until Obama was in the White House?
It seems likely enough that Bush objected to the idea, although he would be too polite to put his oar in and say so now. That’s what I suspect. Bush was not the kind of guy who would let that kind of terrorist go free, even to please an important ally. And why should this deal have taken several years to work out?
Brown, of course, is a leftist, and may have left this aspect ambgiuous deliberately. Well, let’s see how this plays out. Will Obama ignore this statement and have his tame presstitutes suppress it, or will he now blame it on Bush and claim that he was just following through on a done deal? Stay tuned.
One wonders if they have a certain would-be world ruler's real Kenyan birth certificate on file...

I think it obvious that the discucssions did not include al-Magheri’s release until now..or do you suppose Bush hid this from Mueller, too? Ridiculous.
