"Capitalism is evil," says new Michael Moore film

VENICE (Reuters) - Capitalism is evil. That is the conclusion of U.S. documentary maker Michael Moore's latest movie "Capitalism: A Love Story," which premieres at the Venice film festival on Sunday. Blending his trademark humour with tragic individual stories, archive footage and publicity stunts, the 55-year-old launches an attack on the capitalist system, arguing that it benefits the rich and condemns millions to poverty.

The movie...was paid for by capitalism. The guy who came to interview Moore...is paid by capitalism. The theaters that play Moore’s movie....runs off capitalism. The popcorn and drinks bought at the movie theater for the movie...came from capitalism. The network that does Moore interviews for the movie...operates only through capitalism. The car that brought people to see the movie...was paid by capitalism. The gas that they used for the car that brought them to the theater...was paid by capitalism.

Frankly, does Moore even grasp the common features of capitalism? Maybe it’s time he makes a movie on diets and explains why none of them work.
