No mention of the reporter's name. But, you would think that a Libturd rag like the NY Times would have learned their lesson after NYT's David Rohde was kidnapped by the Taliban last November, escaping on his own 7 months later.

But, that's the NY Times for ya'. They think terrorists sit around singing Kumbaya.

This reminds me of some show I saw on Discovery or maybe it was Nation Geographic.

Nevertheless, it was reporter that nearly got killed several times by the people he was covering. I think after the 5th time where he was probably going to die this genius said, “man these guys are really nuts!”. LOL!

I am thinking Duh!!! That is par for the course for your average reporter. What morons!

The NYT will never learn. They think the Taliban is a traveling circus with dancing bears anc clowns being bullied by Halliburton.

They sent Clinton to rescue journalists from North Korea. They ought to give Gore a chance to be the hero in Afghanistan this time.

Litle Pinchie should offer himself up as the sole negotiator. Pinchie is brave enough to publish the things he does; surely he is brave enough to go into the fray and argue face to face with “his friends” to secure release of this reporter.

well if they lop his head off... let's make sure that an AP photographer gets the pic and splashes it all over the front page like they did with the Marine who was hit by an RPG.

But make sure you treat this reporter JUST like the Marine. Ask his family for permission... when they say, "NO"...

THEN print the photo.

who cares if a reporter is kidnapped? I want AP reporters and photographers to take nice walks behind helicopters at night... maybe they might get a taste of what service members and their families go through.

Kidnapped or imbedded? My suspicion is that he went with the terrorists in order to prepare a lengthy piece helping them to “get their story out.” Not one GI’s life should be endangered looking for this guy.

Any backround on this journalist? I’d hate to say “Oh well, whatever...” and find out he’s not a total propagandist for the Democrat/communist/pro-islamofascist party. Otherwise...oh well, whatever.

The Taliban demanded a ransom for the reporter, a free subscription to the paper, but the NYT said, “No, just give the guy you're holding a keyboard and we'll call it even.”

Reporters are not so dear as newsprint and ink, I suppose.
