Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) has decided that Tuesday is the make-or-break day for bipartisan health care reform talks that have slowed the debate in the Senate to a crawl for most of the summer.
The gang of six negotiators are expected to meet when Congress returns from the monthlong August recess Tuesday, and sources said Baucus will use that opportunity to push Republicans to sign onto the outlines of the bill that they have been discussing for months. If, as Democrats expect, ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.) balk at agreeing to a bill, Baucus plans to try to continue pursuing a bipartisan agreement with the third Republican in the group Sen. Olympia Snowe (Maine) Democratic sources said.
Hes meeting with the gang one more time. If its where it was in July, theyre going to move ahead with Snowe, one knowledgeable source said.

He’s got a movement! He’s going to the latrine. Good place for the bill.
They want “Republican’s to sign on to the outline of the bill”....any Republican who signs on to ANYTHING, let alone an “outline” is toast....speaking of which....the Movement will be of Congress Critters OUT on their ARSES in 2010.
Snowe must go, is my campaign slogan in a few years. But if she quits then we probably get our socialist governor. We just can’t win in this state. and we screw the country as well. Sorry folks.
Time for emails/calls to Grassley and Enzi. My emails are going out now.
Things like this make me feel like it’s hopeless. Are they just going to cram some version of this down our throats no matter what. Will Americans drop the whole matter once it’s voted on like they always have in the past?
You can see how far America has fallen when a couple of braindead RINOs joining with the Marxist ‘RATS is considered “bipartisanship.”
My email to Grassley:
I realize Baucus is a friend, but you have an obligation to do what is right for the people of Iowa and more importantly the people of the United States. DO NOT agree to any deal. This is a potential turning point in the history of the United States, and you don’t want to be on the wrong side of history!
This is the web address to email Grassley: http://grassley.senate.gov/contact.cfm
It doesn’t speak very well for Montana that they keep voting Baucus in...not to mention Tester and their Governor. They might as well vote for Obama.
Enzi’s web address where you can email him:

She is probably the best we can expect unfortunately!
Grassley and Enzi are chumps. Snowe is beyond help so there’s no use criticizing her.
Snowe is hopeless, but below is the address to contact her. I told her that if she votes for any deal that I will support her primary challenger and that if that doesn’t work I will contribute to her democrat challenger. F##k her.

Contact both of them as over the recess they have said they will not support Obamacare. Orin Hatch already walked out of this negotiation and wouldn’t go back. Enzi said he wouldn’t put his signature to anything he saw, and Grassley agreed with Enzi but let’s make sure they hold steady.
So I guess we’re finally going to trade 0lympia Snow for Evan Bayh and Ben Nelson?
It would actually be a slight trade up for us.
Snow should be defeated in the GOP primary.
If she wins anyways, she should not be supported in the midterm.
It is better to have a Democrat voting with the Democrats than a RINO voting with the Democrats and giving them “bipartisan” cover.
Never mind. Snowe isn’t up for reelection until 2012.
So we will have to wait.
Or force the GOP to boot her from the party.
Which is why I’m willing to send money to her democrat challenger is she does what I expect her to do.
“Snowe is hopeless...”
Truly a shovel-ready project.
