Someone feel free to correct me but this makes no sense. We got attacked on Sept 11, 2001. We didn’t go to war in Iraq until March of 2003. I must be misreading something??
Maybe he was referring to the US enforcing the no fly zone in Iraq since Gulf war I...or maybe just referring to Gulf war I in general.

I think Jones was referring to the '91 Gulf War and Bush 41.
. When he talks about the bombs falling on Iraq, he might be thinking about the Clinton Administration - Clinton bombed Iraq in 1998, ostensibly for Saddam's kicking out the UN inspectors. (There was a lot of speculation at the time that Clinton did it to take attention away from the Monica Lewinsky mess.)
Or he might even be thinking about our operation in 1991 to get Saddam out of Kuwait.
We had been bombing Iraq occasionally since the first Gulf War, and had patrolled the no-fly zones, and had sanctions. Lefties even protested during the Clinton years. I know cause the fliers were all over my neighborhood then.
