Obamas Latest Gambit: Chairing the Security Council [NRO Staff]
In an article for NRO, Anne Bayefsky writes about an upcoming Obama gesture that could have very unfortunate consequences:
Looking for a quick and easy boost in the polls, President Obama has decided to go to the one place where merit bears no relationship to adulation: the United Nations. On September 24, the president will take the unprecedented step of presiding over a meeting of the UN Security Council.
Sound like a harmless publicity stunt? It isnt:
Unfortunately, however, the move represents one of the most dangerous diplomatic ploys this country has ever seen.

I read the accompanying article. There are no words without quoting from the article, which I understand breaks the rules regarding excerpted news sites.

From the article:
The administrations zeal for the front-page photo-op on September 25s New York Times has now become a scramble to manufacture an outcome for the session. The presidents idea for a glorious finish was described by Ambassador Rice as some kind of joint statement declaring in part that we are united in support for effective steps to ensure nuclear nonproliferation . . . Such a result would be breathtaking for the audacity of claiming exactly the opposite of what it really represents. Even allied council members France and the United Kingdom are reported to be very unhappy with Obamas no-names strategy for his September rollout.
&&&&&&
There is no limit to this man's AUDACITY. He was not kidding when he stood before the Brandenburg Gate or before styrofoam temple pillars in the Denver stadium.
He believes that he is the most important person in our universe.
When is someone going to tell him that he is wearing no clothes? Maybe it will be Qaddafi.

I read this earlier. It isn’t too long but an informative read not to mention another example of the limp wrist diplomacy of O and Co.

perhaps when Obama is speaking the hand of God will write: “...Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin.” (Dan 5:25) ( God has numbered the days of your reign...you have been measured and found wanting...your kingdom is divided...)
In the OT, King Belshazzar knew he was judged by God...we can only pray that God would do some sort of miracle to show the same to our prez. Otherwise, he is dooming our country if he thinks the rogue nations will honor anything that comes out of the UN...

He is too clever by half - and it keeps getting him into trouble.
This is likely just as much about denying the Secretary Clinton the UN spotlight as it is about anything else.
He will soon be done in by his fellow travellers who see him sinking in the polls and vulnerable as hell.
