Classrooms are filling up as kids head back to school, and Education Secretary Arne Duncan's two children are among them.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Duncan said students should take more responsibility for doing well in school, and he called on their parents to step up, too.

Duncan said that is the message of President Barack Obama's address to students on Tuesday. He also thanked teachers for being "unsung heroes."

Aren’t these kids suppose to be in K - 6? The only responsibility and goals they’ll be concerned with is getting to lunch and recess on time.

The message is that the NEA owns your kids. Don't be afraid of the scary socialist fascist man trying to ruin your future.

President Bush's transcripts were available to the public.

Will Obama ever, ever be that transparent?

Hussein can start taking responsibility instead of preaching about it.

Instead, all he has done is make bad decisions and then blame Bush for the results.

Arne should have addressed teacher reform. We need to do something to stop so many teachers from having sex with the children at school. “Sex education” in our schools has gotten completely out of hand.

Kids see what we do!

With that in mind, BO said he would put his speech on-line for parents and teachers to see by Monday....

Let’s see what he does........NOT!

Surely you can't object adding a lab section to the lecture course, can you?

the message of President Barack Obama's address to students on Tuesday . . .

is to tell your parents to trust me and pass my DeathCare program. (Just like the teachers at my public elementary used to urge us to tell our parents please to vote for the school budget, "or we won't have any more school!" Hmmmm. Promise?)

But this Magic Socialist guy just can't screw up enough. Schools in New York City, the Second City of Obamaland, won't even be open to receive the message of Dear Leader. First day of school is Wednesday.

Where’s his message of responsibility to his damn constituents? I’ve only heard the exact opposite from Black Jesus so far.

Here’s my message of responsibility to people too stupid to figure it out themselves: Stay out of gangs! Don’t get pregnant while a teenager! Don’t get tattoos that a dress shirt won’t cover! Get a job! Work harder than the guy next to you! Make your own money! Buy your own health insurance! Raise good kids! Stay married! Don’t do anything at someone else’s expense! Believe in something bigger than yourself!

Responsibility? Ha! BHO has 32 czars who do his job for him while he travels around, hems and haws at so-called Town Halls, and spends countless hours, no doubt, being fitted for yet another expensive suit, and empty suit for an empty suit. Sorry, but someone who is known for having voted ‘present’ 140+ times has no credibility when it comes to preaching lessons of responsibility.

The message after the speech is what to watch for folks. That is when the indoctrination really begins. The teachers have been given their “instructions”.

Pretty insensitive remark to a nation where 40% of the kids come from a broken homes. Why not tell the parents themselves instead of the kids having say to their mom, “The president says you have to take responsibility”?

“Obama’s Back-to-School Message is Responsibility”

He should be looking in the mirror while he’s delivering it.
