I recieved the following e-mail from LtCol William "Bill" Russell yesterday. I hope he cleans Jack Murtha's clock in next years Congressional elections. I've had the pleasure of spending time with Bill on several occasions. He's a true conservative and patriot, and is the kind of American we need in the US Congress. Gitmo is back in the news again.

This week a judge denied a 32-year-old Islamic studies teacher's request for early release from Guantanamo Bay because the evidence confirmed he was a terrorist.

Begs the question again doesn't it? 

What happens if groups like MoveOn.org and other radical left wing organizations get their way and close America's terrorist detention facility?  What happens if Barack Obama really actually keeps this dangerous promise.

Alas, I wish I could gin up some hope but after reading WSJ’s article about Murtha’s “Airport for No One” the comments of people in his Johnstown district make it clear they consider him their patrone.

It’s too bad that people such as these cannot understand that all the pork in America cannot substitute for a viable local economy.

Johnstown only represnts 20% of the voters in his district;which runs through 9 counties. The rest of the district has gotten increasingly disgusted with him. That plus almost all the pork goes to Johnstown. There’s plenty of reason to be hopeful.

Thanks, I was under the impression that the lion’s share of his constituents lived in the Johnstown area.

Considering what we have learned of how his racket works, it’s also in the interest of our National Defense to be rid of him.

He is. He reminds me a great deal of LtCol Allan West, another conservative patriot who is running for Congress in Florida.

They're both leaders who love their country and are disgusted with what Obama,Murtha,Pelosi, and the Democrats are doing to destroy our liberty, our lives, and our prosperity.

You're right. Even the Democrats I've spoken with in the district think Murtha is nuts for even suggesting it.
