Chris Healy, chairman of the Connecticut Republican Party, called Obama's speech "perfectly appropriate" and predicted that children would be excited to hear it.
"I think people have got to relax," Healy said. "There is plenty to criticize the president on when he's speaking to adults. But he is a role model and a historic figure, no matter what you think of his policies. He's a smart person and he's a product of education himself."
With GOP Chairmen like this, who need Democrats?
Let Chris Healy let you know how you feel about his comments:
email: political@ctgop.org
Phone: (860) 826-7378
Fax: (860) 826-2742
Perfectly appropriate for the President to ask every school child in the USA to "Write a letter how you can help the President".
Mr Healy needs to be thrown OUT of the GOP on his ear
Chris Healy probably voted for Obama.
Honestly, do you think he cares what we think?
How would Healy know, since no one has seen OdumbO's school records?
What an a*s! Another RINO that needs to get dumped. Are there any GOP conservatives in the GOP in CT?
Another utterance from the Leader of the CT Stupid Party.
I should have known that the RINOs would begin the backbiting as soon as conservatives begin gaining ground.
‘Are there any GOP conservatives in the GOP in CT?’
Nope. I live in CT. There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that a conservative gets elected in this state. A RINO is the best we’ll ever see...
It ain’t the speech, it’s the HOMEWORK!
It ain’t the speech, it’s the HOMEWORK!
People are confused about what we have a problem with. Its not so much the message, its the MESSENGER. We don’t like his pinko commie obamacare losing ways nor his commie truther friends. Obamanation can do nothing to change that except for repenting and doing a 180 on his leftist pinko commie chavez loving ways. Bottom line.
That said if you still love the messenger, well the message they have already admitted the first provided lesson plans were of suspect intent and inappropriate. So libs can’t have it both ways.
I don’t know about that, but boycotting his speech by keeping your kids at home is Perfectly Appropriate too.
The American people are in the lead. The GOP is trailing far behind.
You can always count on a RINO to cover for the commies.
And they wonder why they’re a modern day Moose Party in New England.
I'm not so sure that most people necessarily have a problem with the Prez telling kids to work hard & stay in school.(At least I don't - meh.)
What the leader of the CT GOP conveniently neglects to point out here, however, is that the WH tipped their hand about what this speech was all about with that creepy study plan for teachers instructing them to ask their students to promise to serve this particular President, Kim Jong-il-style.
It was the very parental outrage Mr. Healy dismisses in response to that very important little detail Mr. Healy chooses to obscure in his comments which made the White House itself back down from their Pyongyang-style initiative here.
If parents had been 'relaxed' as Mr. Healy implores them to be, the WH wouldn't have had to back down & CT schoolchildren would have been force-fed the O-team's banana republic-flavored kool-aid.
Northeastern lamebrain.
