I cannot believe we are already into September which no doubt will bring back many bad memories to a lot of Americans and others of us who love freedom and America and Americans.
As I prepared this thread I felt that it needed to be posted in 2 parts and allow us to think about the first 10 days of September 2001 and try to think have our attitudes, thoughts and how we approach life changed after those 10 days. Do the photos up to 10th September 2001 mean something different to those that will posted later of 11th September, 2001 and beyond.
Are more or less carefree than we were before, strange comment as many would say we must be less but in a positive manner maybe we are less uptight and more relaxed about things knowing that in the blink of eye everything we hold dear can be taken from us.
I have chosen as quote for this month a statement put out during the visit of the Australian PM to the US on 10th September 2001 which became so poignant the following day and the months and years that followed with PM Howard's support of the US and George W Bush.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

One of my favorite Presidents EVER!
I know many on FR do not like him for PROPOSING Amnesty. Just remember he was better than Reagan in that regard as Reagan actually gave us that awful amensty.
I truly feel President Bush saved the republic. We may never know for decades how close the Al Qaeda got to planting a nuke (dirty or otherwise) here in the USA.
I miss President Bush and Mrs. Bush terribly. I miss the tax cuts that he pushed and I miss his dignity and his 110% committment to our security.
God Bless President G.W. Bush forever!
Thanks for the ping
GOOD GOD I MISS YOU W!
WE ARE SO SCREWED!
Now the official unemployment rate is 9.7 percent while the real unemployment rate is over 16 percent
I like him too! I also miss Laura Bush as first lady. She has a beautiful sense of style and always looks classy unlike another first lady that dresses like Sears had a clearance sale.
