Sen. John McCain blasted Democrats' plans for a health-care overhaul Friday in Oro Valley at the annual conference of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns.
In a generally jovial mood at the Hilton El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort, before an adoring crowd that gave him two standing ovations, he joked: "Every place I go, everybody says, 'I voted for ya,' 'I voted for ya.' I'm about to demand a recount."
. . . . .
On whether he would vote for health-care reform if the public option were removed:
"It would have to depend on the legislation. There are many other provisions that I object to in the bill that was through the Health Committee, including the fact that federal funding for abortion is apparently allowed under that plan. I obviously wouldn't agree with that. Really what we need to do is sit down and start over, moving forward, probably, in an incremental fashion, and do the things that we can agree on. By the way, there would have to be some medical malpractice reform. There's none in either bill that's gone through the Senate or the House now, which is a testament to the influence of the trial lawyers."

Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. |

Every day John McCain reminds me more and more of Neville Chamberlain at Munich, wanting to sit down and talk and appease the enemy (bipartisan is the modern word for appeasement).
Historians often cite cases in history where a person was in step with their times and matched up perfectly with the circumstances and events that shaped his/her time.
In McCain’s case he is simply the wrong man at the wrong time in American history. Bipartisanship over the next 3 years will sentence America’s spirit of freedom and liberty to the gallows. A clear alternative and opposite vision to Obama is what is needed now.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.

With all due respect for his service it is time for him to retire before he does more damage. God knows he has done enough at this point.
Your days of having the wisdom and character to demand anything are long since over. You knew who this man was and you did nothing, out of your complacent ordinary-ness, to stop it. You cared more about simply running for President, than actually becoming President. It was nothing more than a check mark on your wish list; another line added to your resume that is soon due to the editor of the obituary page. Once upon a time you were a hero, and suffered great pain for this great Nation. I salute you for that, but I have no more salutes to give you. I will not be a part of your gauntlet of adoring fans, waving you off into the night. You will not get a pat on the back from me. You will only get my silent disdain, and nothing more.
McStain, the poster fool for RINOS.
I dislike him as much as I hate Obozo.
The ONLY reason I voted for McCain is because of Sarah.
Is there any chance that this dolt will be defeated in the next election?
God knows he has done enough at this point.
So do we!!
I didnt vote for you Juan, I voted for Sarah.
I wish the people that placed you in the Senate would wake up and see what a worthless representative you are.
Juan McCain =closet Democrat.
Thomas Sowell with Walter Williams yesterday said about bipartisanship:
A bipartisan bill means it’s just twice as bad.
We were soooo scr*wed last election. Our only choices—Obama, or this guy, aka Obama-Lite. If Republicans want to continue as a viable party, we MUST get rid of these RINOs. Send them to the ‘Rat party, where they belong.
And he wonders why he lost, no further comment necessary
McCain’s obsession with being everything to everyone succeeds only in making look erratic and unreliable. It proves the maxim that anything in the middle of the road ultimately becomes road kill.
